At 72-44, the Brewers currently own the best record in baseball. That doesn’t come as much of a surprise; Milwaukee has been a National League powerhouse over the past five seasons. Seeing the Twins (58-59) in striking distance of a postseason berth, however? That’s a bit shocking. Minnesota came out on top with an 8-6 upset win during Friday’s series opener. Which side will emerge victorious tonight at American Family Field?
The Brewers are favorites (-140) over the Twins; the over/under is set at eight runs. Below, I’ve laid out my preview, prediction, and best bet for Saturday’s showdown between Minnesota and Milwaukee on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Twins vs. Brewers pick, best bet today
- Brewers ML (-140): Minnesota has the better arm in Bradley, but the youngster could have some trouble tonight. He’s prone to putting runners on base, a specialty for Milwaukee. If Gasser bends but doesn’t break, the Brewers should find a way to come out on top.

Minnesota has overcome its fair share of setbacks in recent weeks. The team’s best hitter, Byron Buxton (hip), and best pitcher, Joe Ryan (glute), are both on the injured list. With that being said, this club has won nine of its last 15 games. That’s due in large part to arguably the sport’s most underrated offense. The Twins are averaging 4.68 runs per game, ninth-most in baseball this season. They rank 13th in on-base percentage (.318), 11th in slugging percentage (.407) and 13th in home runs (139). Top prospect Kaelen Culpepper homered during his major league debut on Friday; he could give this squad a boost going forward. In addition, infielder Royce Lewis is batting .405 with three homers over his last ten games.
On the other side, it’ll be Robert Gasser on the bump. For an otherwise terrific Milwaukee pitching staff, the right-hander is fairly average. Over 62.1 innings (12 starts), he’s notched a 4.48 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 58 strikeouts (8.4 K/9). To be fair, the 27-year-old comes into tonight’s game with some momentum. He’s surrendered two earned runs or less in each of his last three outings. Also worth noting is Gasser’s stellar 3.13 ERA when pitching at home. A 3.85 xERA suggests that the third-year pro is due for some better luck going forward. He ranks within the 86th percentile in average exit velocity, walk rate and hard-hit rate.
As for the visitors, Taj Bradley will toe the slab on Saturday night. Talent has never been an issue for the former Tampa Bay hurler. In many ways, the 25-year-old has been his own biggest enemy. Fortunately for Minnesota, the right-hander is beginning to put it all together. Through 126.2 innings of work (22 starts), he’s produced a 3.69 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 141 strikeouts (10.0 K/9). Improvements in fastball velocity and strikeout rate have made up for Bradley’s erratic command (3.8 BB/9) in 2026. Much like Gasser, he’s been far better at home (3.12 ERA) than on the road (4.17 ERA).
Few lineups in baseball are better equipped to take on Bradley than Milwaukee. The club is fifth in runs scored (577) despite slugging an MLB-worst 107 home runs. The secret? Elite plate discipline and bat to ball skills. The Brewers are averaging 4.14 walks per game, second-most in the majors. They also rank fifth in batting average (.253) and third in on-base percentage (.336). There’s no let up when it comes to this offense; seven members of the active roster (min. 100+ plate appearances) own a wRC+ above 100.
Best Bet: Brewers ML (-140)
Bradley is the superior arm on Saturday, but that’s the only area where the Twins have an advantage. Even then, Gasser is a better hurler than his standard numbers might suggest. Milwaukee’s knack for working the count and getting on base could frustrate Minnesota’s starter in this one. Back the Brew Crew as home favorites tonight.
