BREAK IT DOWN:

(Stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)

Shohei Ohtani 1+ Home Run (+276)

Ohtani homered twice on Wednesday in his most recent game, but he and the Dodgers still lost their sixth straight contest. While he hasn’t been able to get back on the mound due to injury, the 32-year-old lefty is up to 26 homers at the plate, hitting .297 with a .399 wOBA and 52.5% hard-hit rate on the season. In his last eight games, he went 15-for-31 (.484) with four homers and a 20.8% barrel rate, and he’ll look to stay hot in a favorable matchup against Merrill Kelly, who has allowed 23 homers in his 20 starts this season, including 12 in eight starts at home and 15 to lefties like Ohtani. Ohtani is 2-for-5 with a double and a homer in his limited previous matchups against Kelly, and the public thinks he’ll be ready to tee off against the veteran righty again on Friday night at Chase Field.

Kyle Schwarber 1+ Home Run (+264)

Schwarber has only hit one homer in his last 20 games and has fallen a little behind the MLB lead of Yordan Alvarez, who has 35 homers now. The 33-year-old lefty has only one homer in his last 20 games, while hitting .188 (13-for-69). The public likes his matchup, though, against the Blue Jays’ Jose Soriano, who has allowed 12 homers in 22 games this season, including 10 homers to lefties like Schwarber. Soriano didn’t allow a homer in his four starts in July, with a 2.74 ERA and 2.88 FIP. Even though it isn’t an ideal matchup, Schwarber has hit 21 of his 33 homers off righties and 20 of his 33 homers at home. On the strong side of both of those splits, he is a solid play at these odds against Soriano.

Ben Rice 1+ Home Run (+302)

The Braves and Yankees start a series in the Bronx on Friday, weather-permitting, and Rice is another one of seven players with 30+ homers on the season. He’s getting plenty of attention as he takes on righty Tyler Mahle, whom the Braves just acquired at the Trade Deadline from the Giants. Like Schwarber, Rice is also in a little bit of a home run drought, without a home run in his last 10 games while hitting .121 (4-for-33). Rice is 1-for-2 against Mahle with a double in their past career meetings, and he has hit 22 of his 31 homers against righties. Rice has almost even home-road splits, but he has played 14 fewer games at Yankee Stadium, which is very homer-friendly to lefties who pull the ball like Rice typically does.

3-Pick Same Game Parlay

Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a same-game parlay (SGP) and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.

Shohei Ohtani 1+ Home Run (+276)
