DraftKings WNBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball Picks Today: Top Picks for 8/7/26

By: Bill Yin

There are only three games on the slate tonight, tipping off at 7:30 PM EST between the Mystics and the Dream. The Sun will host the Mercury at the same time, while the Wings will host the Valkyries at 9:30.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.

Paige Bueckers Less Than 19.5 Points

Bueckers has cooled off considerably, averaging just 12.8 PPG over her last five appearances, and Golden State is a tough opponent. The Valkyries own the WNBAโ€™s best defensive rating at 101.7, and they held Bueckers to 15 points when these teams first met in June. Opposing defenses have increasingly tried to get the ball out of her hands with blitzes and double-teams, leaving Dallas to find offense elsewhere when she gives it up. Bueckers has still put together an excellent second season overall, but her recent scoring dip has coincided with the Wings losing four of their last five. At 19.5 points, weโ€™re banking on the leagueโ€™s best defense keeping that colder stretch going for another game.

Angel Reese More Than 11.5 Rebounds

Washington has plenty of size, but that hasnโ€™t stopped Reese from controlling the glass in this matchup. She grabbed a whopping 17 rebounds in the first meeting and 13 in the second, with 13 of those 30 boards coming on the offensive end. Reese has been one of the leagueโ€™s premier rebounders all season, and her 21 double-doubles have already tied the Dreamโ€™s single-season franchise record. She also pulled down 16 rebounds against Las Vegas earlier this week before finishing with 10 against Phoenix on Wednesday, so the rebounding workload remains firmly intact. We need 12 here, and Reeseโ€™s ability to create extra opportunities on the offensive glass gives her a strong path to clearing that number for a third time against Washington.

Kelsey Plum More Than 18.5 Points

Plumโ€™s move to Phoenix gives us one of the more interesting late-season angles on the board, especially with her Pick6 number sitting well below the 23.9 PPG she averaged before the trade. She missed more than a month with a leg injury, but there wasnโ€™t much rust in her Mercury debut, as she scored 20 points on 60% shooting in only 21 minutes. That was an encouraging sign because Plum doesnโ€™t necessarily need a full 34-minute workload to get past 18.5 when sheโ€™s shooting and attacking at her usual level. Connecticut ranks 11th in defensive rating and has allowed 87.1 PPG, giving Phoenix a much friendlier offensive environment than Plum faced against Atlanta on Wednesday. The workload remains worth watching after the lengthy absence, but after seeing how quickly she made an impact with her new team, it’s likely Plum can get to at least 19 again.
