Gunnar Henderson More Than 0.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (Promo Pick)
There are some great promo plays available from DraftKings Pick6 for this Friday MLB slate. My favorite of the bunch is this one, which only requires Gunnar Henderson to have more than 0.5 hits + runs + RBIs, rather than more than 1.5. It has not been the season that Henderson or the Orioles have hoped for. However, the third Wild Card birth in the American League is wide open, and the Orioles are only a game back from that spot. This is a massive series for them against the Rangers, who currently hold that third Wild Card spot. This would be a great chance for Henderson to get hot and propel his team to a series win.
Gunnar Henderson should feel good going up against Nathan Eovaldi, having gotten the better of him over the years. Henderson has a .538 batting average and a 1.153 OPS in 13 career at-bats against Eovaldi. Eovaldi has struggled against left-handers all season, allowing an opponent batting average of .268 and an OPS of .773. Henderson should get at least one hit on the board against the right-hander.
Bobby Witt Jr. More Than 1.5 Total Bases
It hasn’t quite been the MVP-level excellence we’ve come to expect from Bobby Witt Jr. this season. However, by any normal standard, he is having another great season. Witt is batting .286 with an .813 OPS in 2026. He missed some time at the end of July, but has been red hot since coming back from the IL. In the three games since his return, he has six hits, four runs scored and two RBIs. Witt should keep that going against Kevin Gausman and the Cubs.
Gausman will be making his Cubs debut in this game after being traded from Toronto at the deadline. Gausman was having a poor season in Toronto, with a 4.38 ERA to his name. Right-handed hitters have a .765 OPS against Gausman this season, and Bobby Witt Jr. should be able to hit him hard to get over this number.
George Lombard Jr. More Than 0.5 Hits
George Lombard Jr. has made it to the major leagues with a big splash. The Yankees’ top prospect was finally called up to the bigs, partially due to his great play in the minors, but also due to the lack of right-handed bats in the Yankees’ lineup at the moment. Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton have both been away from the team for a long time, leaving the Yankees in short supply of righties. Aaron Boone hoped that the youngster could come up and fill that gap for New York. While he is only two games into his MLB career, Lombard is showing that he is capable of that.
In his first MLB game, George Lombard Jr. hit a home run in one of his two at-bats against the Cardinals. He got the start the next day and extended his MLB hitting streak to two games. He is batting .333 through the first two games of his MLB career and has a favorable matchup tonight against Tyler Mahle. Mahle has a 5.13 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP this season. He has been dreadful against righties, allowing an opponent batting average of .305 and an OPS of .849. Lombard should make the most of this favorable matchup and extend his hitting streak to three games to start his career.
