Sedgefield Country Club (par 70, 7,131 yards, Bermuda greens) in Greensboro, North Carolina, is hosting the Wyndham Championship, which has been the site of this tournament since 2008. Sedgefield was designed by Donald Ross and Cameron Young (-22) is the defending champion of the Wyndham Championship. This event is hosting 145 players this week and there will be a top-65 and ties cut after the first two rounds. Only the top-70 players in the FedEx Cup standings following the Wyndham Championship will qualify for next week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship, which is the first of three events for the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

Max Greyserman to make the cut
Greyserman has made four of his last six cuts and he has a serious prowess for Ross designs. Greyserman finished runner-up at Sedgefield in 2024 and at Detroit Golf Club in 2025. The 31-year-old missed the cut at Sedgefield last year, but this is the only time in seven starts at a Ross course that Greyserman has failed to make the cut. Greyserman finished T50th at the Ross-designed Detroit Golf Club last week and he ranks second in this field in strokes gained per round at Ross designs. Greyserman gained strokes on approach and with his putter at Detroit Golf Club, and he should ride this wave into at a made cut at Sedgefield.
Luke Clanton to make the cut
Clanton has made 2-of-2 cuts at Sedgefield and he shined in his debut at this track two years ago, finishing solo fifth. This is Clanton’s best PGA TOUR finish to date and he posted a career-low 8-under 62 in the third round that week. Clanton now returns to Sedgefield after finishing T20th at the Ross-designed Detroit Golf Club this past week. Clanton gained strokes on approach and with his putter at the par 70, and he shot 67 or lower in all but one round. Clanton did miss four straight cuts before this, but when we look at the bigger picture, he has advanced to the weekend in 10 of his last 14 starts, and seeing Clanton play well at a Ross creation this past week definitely bodes well for his chances at Sedgefield.
Joel Dahmen to make the cut
Dahmen is coming off a missed cut at the Rocket Classic, but this is only his second missed cut in his last seven starts. Dahmen had finished inside the top-35 in three consecutive starts before last week and he has been reliable at Sedgefield throughout his career. Dahmen has only missed one cut in seven starts at the Ross track with his best performance being a T15 last season. Dahmen went nuts in the first round with a 9-under 61, which was the low score of the event and is his career low on the PGA TOUR. Dahmen also ranks 11th in SG APP this season, which is another great sign for Sedgefield, as two of the last three winners at this course have led their fields in the metric.
