Veronica Burton O 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-116)
This is the second straight matchup between the Valkyries and Tempo, and Golden State took the first matchup with ease, 96-79. Burton was a big part of the blowout win for the Valkyries, with the guard posting 17 points, six assists and two rebounds in 29 minutes on 6-of-10 shooting. This was a continuation of some strong play by Burton, as she is averaging 12.7 points, 6.5 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game in her last six while shooting 55.8% from the field.
Burton has finished with 23+ PRA in four of these past six and she should have another terrific performance vs. the Tempo tonight, especially with this game at home in Golden State. Toronto ranks dead last in defensive rating and Burton has been more efficient at home this season, shooting 43.9% from the field and averaging 6.3 assists per game, compared to a 40.3% field percentage and 4.5 assist per game on the road.
Maria Conde U 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (+132)
Even if Marina Mabrey (questionable, neck) sits again, Conde has a great chance to cash this under. With Mabrey inactive for the first leg of this mini series vs. the Valkyries, Conde went 0-of-7 on three-pointers in 34 minutes. The rookie also faced Golden State on July 8th with Mabrey active and Conde went 1-of-4 from deep that night.
The Valkyries are the No.1 rated defense in the WNBA and they are giving up the fourth-fewest made three-pointers per game this season (7.7). On top of this being a horrible matchup, Conde’s outside shooting has been suspect this season. The 29-year-old is shooting 36% on three-pointers, and she hasn’t hit multiple treys in 17-of-29 games.
Gabby Williams U 2.5 Assists (-145)
Williams is having an excellent first season with the Valkyries, leading the team with 14.9 PPG and being named to her first All-Star team. However, Williams hasn’t been much of a factor in the playmaking department, averaging just 2.2 assists per game.
Williams has stayed under 2.5 assists in 18-of-27 games and despite the Tempo being the worst rated defense in the league, she has finished with just two and one assist in her two matchups vs. Toronto. Williams racking up 3+ assists tonight is very unlikely and she is an awesome bet for this under.
