The Canadian Open is underway, but there is still plenty of time to get futures bets in before the tournament heats up.
These are my 2026 Canadian Open best bets to target on DraftKings Sportsbook in the futures market.
2026 Canadian Open: Men’s Singles
This is another tournament in 2026 that will be without Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner. Alcaraz has missed almost the entire year through injury, and Sinner and Djokovic are taking some time off ahead of Cincinnati and the US Open. That makes Alexander Zverev the clear favorite to win the title in Montreal. Zverev has had the summer of his life, winning his first career major title and making a second major final at Wimbledon.
This is also a great opportunity for a North American challenger like Felix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz or Ben Shelton to win a big title while the big dogs are out of the way. Taylor Fritz is in great form, having just won the Citi Open a couple of days ago. He won that final against Rafael Jodar, one of the bright young players to watch the rest of the year. This should be an exciting tournament full of upsets and interesting storylines.
Best Bet: Jack Draper 2nd Quarter Winner (+900)
My best futures bet for ATP Montreal is for Jack Draper to win the second quarter and make the semifinals. Draper is one of the most talented players in the world. Last summer, he got as high as No. 4 in the world. However, his young career has been defined by injuries. Draper had to back out of Wimbledon at the last minute due to injury earlier this summer. So, he is hoping to get himself fit in time to compete at the US Open.
When Draper is healthy, any player in the world would have a hard time taking him down. The last time he played a tournament, he made the semifinals at the Eastbourne Open. Earlier this summer, he showed his greatness by taking down Novak Djokovic at Indian Wells. If Draper really is fit and ready for this tournament, he has a great path to go on a deep run.
Draper is capable of beating everyone else in this quarter of the bracket. There are high-ceiling players like Daniil Medvedev, Ben Shelton and Jakub Mensik in his path, but all of these players are also known to no-show in big matches at times. If Draper is able to string a couple of wins together, stay healthy and be at his best, he could roll through this quarter of the bracket to the semifinals. That makes him well worth a bet at this price.
2026 Canadian Open: Women’s Singles
It has been a wild year in women’s tennis. There have been three different major winners so far. Two of those have been first-time major winners, and none of them have been the World No. 1, Aryna Sabalenka. Sabalenka went all of 2025 without winning a Grand Slam title before getting it done at the US Open. So, while history could repeat itself, it seems like the women’s game is wide open at the moment.
Jessica Pegula and Elena Rybakina are both playing some of the best tennis of their lives in 2026. Both women are worthy challengers here and will be again at the US Open. Then, some of the usual suspects like Mirra Andreeva and Coco Gauff could always get hot and go on a run to a title at a tournament like this. Unfortunately, the hometown hero and defending champion, Vicky Mboko, will be out for this tournament.
Best Bet: Alexandra Eala 3rd Quarter Winner
My best bet on the women’s side is for Alexandra Eala to win the third quarter and make the semifinals. Eala is +700 to win this quarter of the bracket, but she is in arguably the best form of anyone in the tournament, let alone in this quarter. The 21-year-old sensation is coming off the biggest win of her career. Eala just secured her first-ever WTA 500 title and beat Jessica Pegula in the final to earn that title.
Eala has made some deep runs in the past at these big tournaments, including making the semifinals in Miami last year. Eala will almost certainly have to take on Linda Noskova to get through this bracket. However, she would not face Coco Gauff until a potential quarterfinal, giving plenty of opportunity for someone else to take down Gauff before she has to. While Eala is more than capable of taking down anyone in this quarter, there is also a chance things break her way to make her path easier.
