Paige Bueckers U 6.5 Assists (-151)

While Bueckers tallied seven assists when she faced the Sun last month, this is only the 11th time in 27 games this season that she has surpassed 6.5 assists. Bueckers is averaging 6.0 assists per game and she notably has only cleared 6.5 assists once in her last 12.

Bueckers’ last start came Friday vs. the Mystics and Washington held her to just two assists, matching her season low. The Sun rank 11th in defensive rating this season, but Britney Griner (questionable, knee) is trending towards making her return and Connecticut is a far better defense with the veteran available.

The Sun are only allowing 84.1 PPG with Griner active and Connecticut owns a 105.9 defensive rating with her on the floor, both of which would rank top-five in the WNBA if they were the team’s averages of the season.

This should be a tougher matchup than expected and 6.5 assists is just too high of a playmaking line for Bueckers in this spot.
