An intriguing Welterweight contest, Oban Elliott vs. Michael Oliveira, is featured on today’s UFC Fight Night Prelims. Oliveira is 9-0 with eight knockouts and is making his UFC debut after earning a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in October 2025, where he scored a second-round knockout over Victor Valenzuela. After winning his first three UFC fights, Elliott enters this bout on a two-fight losing streak.
Check out my best bet below for Oban Elliott vs. Michael Oliveira at today’s UFC Fight Night in Belgrade, Serbia.
Over 1.5 Rounds (-175)
From 2022 to 2024, Elliott won eight consecutive fights between Cage Warriors and the UFC. During his winning streak, Elliott showed a ton of charisma and appeared to have a bright future. But now Elliott is in must-win territory and is facing an elite prospect in Oliveira.
Although Oliveira is only one inch taller, he has a massive six-inch reach advantage over Elliott (78″ vs. 72″). Oliveira is a -360 favorite in this bout on DraftKings Sportsbook as Elliott is a +285 underdog. Before Jonathan Micallef defeated Elliott in his last fight in the second round, “The Welsh Gangster” had a good showing before being submitted. Even though he is coming off two losses, Elliott will be a tough test for elite knockout artist Oliveira.
Since Elliott’s last nine fights have lasted over 1.5 rounds and Oliveira’s previous three contests have gone at least two rounds, I’m taking the over of 1.5 rounds in this bout at -175. Elliott had a strong start in his last fight, and I expect the first round to be close, but it seems more likely for the fight to at least enter the second round.
