We’ve got a stacked group of starting pitchers on tonight’s 10-game featured MLB DFS slate on DraftKings. However, this is a values article, so I’m not going to be able to write up any of them.
You know what? I like a challenge.
Here are my best value plays for this evening’s action on the diamond:

- Red Sox SS Andruw Monasterio ($3,000) vs. Athletics

SP Anthony Kay, Chicago White Sox vs. New York Yankees, $6,300
Full disclosure: I had fully written up Christian Scott in this spot before rain washed away tonight’s Mets/Braves game. That technically makes Kay my second option as a value pitcher. Still, I stand by my choice.
Kay’s been on a nice little run in his past six starts, pitching to a 3.21 ERA and striking out a respectable 8.0 opposing batters per nine innings. It’s also worth pointing out that Kay is the third-cheapest starting pitcher on this slate — not counting openers — despite the fact that he’s been lights out pitching at Rate Field in 2026. In home outings, the lefty sports a 3.06 ERA.
Then there’s the matchup. These Yankees aren’t exactly the 1927 Bombers. In fact, in July, New York sits 27th in batting average (.226), 25th in wOBA (.297) and 23rd in wRC+ (89). It’s a span where the club also owns the league’s highest strikeout rate (27.5%). A recent injury to All-Star Cody Bellinger (hamstring) isn’t going to help matters, either. The Yankees are simply not an opponent to fear at the moment.
OF Lars Nootbar, St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs, $3,600
Remember when Lars Nootbar was going to be the Cardinals’ next homegrown star? Well, that hasn’t quite happened, and availability had been the largest issue. Look no further than 2026. Nootbar’s only appeared in 42 games and taken 160 plate appearances. That’s just not going to get it done. Still, the veteran has been a solid platoon option when he’s healthy, registering a .343 wOBA and a 118 wRC+ against right-handed pitching. He’s a useful piece in the right matchup.
Tuesday is the right matchup. Colin Rea ($6,200) hasn’t been great in general this season, pitching to an eighth percentile xERA (5.59) and giving up a 13th percentile opponent barrel rate (10.4%). However, things have been even worse when Rea’s taken the mound away from Wrigley Field. The RHP has a 6.45 ERA and a 1.61 WHIP within the split. It’s been a nightmare.
SS Andruw Monasterio, Boston Red Sox at Athletics, $3,000
This is a pretty cut and dry value formula.
First and foremost, Monasterio has flourished when getting the opportunity to face left-handed pitching this season, slashing .260/.341/.562 with a .302 ISO and a 144 wRC+ within the split. Secondly, the Red Sox have the MLB’s highest implied team total on Tuesday night, as they get the chance to hit at the always batter-friendly Sutter Health Park. Finally, Gage Jump ($7,100) will get the ball for the A’s. He possesses a 6.35 ERA in Sacramento, and opponents are hitting .328 with a .378 wOBA off the southpaw at home.
What’s not to like?
