The Phillies are -217 favorites on the moneyline to win this one on DraftKings Sportsbook. They will have Cristopher Sanchez on the mound, who has a 12-4 record so far this season. The Yankees are +177 road underdogs to win, and it’s Will Warren who will be pitching for them tonight. The over/under run total is set at 8.

Top of the 9th inning – NY 4 PHI 11
Shugart returns to pitch the ninth for Philadelphia. After striking out Goldschmidt, Ben Rice goes oppo off the left field wall for a double. Rice is 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs and one strikeout. Shugart strikes out Ryan McMahon then does the same to Jasson Dominguez to close it out.
Bottom of the 8th inning – NY 4 PHI 11
Yarbrough still on the mound for New York. And he promptly walks the leadoff hitter, but he induces an inning-ending double play.
Top of the 8th inning – NY 4 PHI 11
Chase Shugart on the mound now for Philadelphia. Easy peasy inning as he strikes out two with one walk.
Bottom of the 7th inning – NY 4 PHI 11
Bryan De La Cruz sends the second pitch into centerfield for a single. Ryan Yarbrough is still on the mound for New York. Yarbrough induces a double play to end the inning.
Top of the 7th inning – NY 4 PHI 11
Cristopher Sanchez is done for the night so it’s Tim Mayza. On the first pitch he throws, Ben Rice takes him over the centerfield wall for a solo shot- 417 feet and 102.5 mph exit velocity.
Mayza responded with strikeout, ground out and strikeout to end the inning.
Bottom of the 6th inning – NY 3 PHI 11
Bryan De La Cruz hit an innocent grounder to shortstop, but Anthony Volpe sailed the throw into foul territory for a two-base error.
Crawford then attempted a sac bunt, but beat out the throw to first base. No outs with men on first and third. Trea Turner delivers with a RBI single to put the Phillies up 7-3. Kyle Schwarber battles lefty vs. lefty and singles up the middle to load the bases. No outs.
Now it’s Bryce Harper lefty vs. lefty and he’s worked the count to 3-0. Ryan Yarbrough battles back and strikes him out. Yarbrough then strikes out Brandon Marsh. Unfortunately, he plunks Alec Bohm and it’s now 8-3 for Philadelphia. And it doesn’t stop as Bryson Stott sends one into the right field corner to clear the bases. Stott now has 5 RBI on the night.
Top of the 6th inning – NY 3 PHI 6
The inning looked to be a breeze for Sanchez, as he induced two balls to short, but there was another incident of Sanchez on Sanchez crime, as Ali notched a single to left. Sanchez responded by striking out Goldschmidt a threw only 10 pitches this inning.
Bottom of the 5th inning – NY 3 PHI 6
Bryce Harper leads off the inning with a walk. Brandon Marsh goes oppo into left field to put players on first and second with no outs. That induces a pitching change for the Yankees.
Camilo Doval is now pitching for New York and promptly strikes out Bohm in three pitches. Doval strikes out Stott in three pitches but Marsh and Harper execute the double-steal. Doval ends the threat with another strikeout.
Top of the 5th inning – NY 3 PHI 6
Sanchez on Sanchez crime as Ali, the catcher who is batting ninth in the order, singles off a Cristopher changeup into left field. Then he walks his third batter of the game! As mentioned earlier in the game, Sanchez is third in walk rate at 4.5%. After a Ben Rice groundout to second base, the Yankees had men on first and third with one out. Sanchez then tried to pickoff Rice on first base but threw the ball into foul ball territory, scoring Sanchez from third.
Amed Rosario then compounded problems with a single to center field then made his way to second base from hustling.
Yankees score another run on a groundout to third by Jasson Dominguez. Anthony Volpe gets his second double of the night, driving a pitch into left field to score another run.
A wild pitch sends Volpe to third before he induces a ground ball to second base to end the inning. Sanchez has now thrown 91 pitches, 58 for strikes.
Bottom of the 4th inning – NY 0 PHI 6
Gabriel Rincones Jr. sends the first pitch to third base and beats out the throw. That induces a pitching change for the Yankees. Warren threw 68 pitches, 39 for strikes. He walked two, struck out five and allowed six earned runs on six hits.
The new pitcher is lefty Tim Hill. And he hits the first batter he faces to put batters on first and second. Trea Turner grounds out to second base for the double play. Two outs and a man on third but Hill gets Schwarber to lazily fly out to left field.
Top of the 4th inning – NY 0 PHI 6
Trea Turner misplays a grounder to shortstop for his 18th error of the season. Last season, Turner had a WAR of 6.7. This season? 0.7. Two batters later, Anthony Volpe smashes a double (97.8 mph exit velocity) into the left-center gap, putting players on second and third base. Sanchez responds by striking out Trent Grisham on four pitches then walks another batter to load the bases! Sanchez has thrown 62 pitches, 40 for strikes up to this point. Sanchez gets out of the jam by inducing a ground ball to shortstop.
Bottom of the 3rd inning – NY 0 PHI 6
After inducing a groundout by Justin Crawford, Warren struck out Trea Turner. Unfortunately, he walked Kyle Schwarber then Bryce Harper hit a screamer (110.3 mph exit velocity) into the right field corner to put players on second and third base. An intentional walk set the stage for Alec Bohm to do damage with the bases loaded. Bohm battled the count to 3-2 then…cleared the bases with a bloop into left field. It was a strange at-bat because Joey Votto kept saying on the broadcast that Bohm was late on the fastball and that Warren should’ve kept pounding him. Instead, he kept throwing sliders, which Bohm was on and fouled off a couple before he sent a slider into the left field to clear the bases.
The Phillies weren’t done, as Bryson Stott singled into right field to score Bohm.
Top of the 3rd inning – NY 0 PHI 2
Sanchez had a battle against the leadoff hitter, but eventually struck out Ali Sanchez on eight pitches. Goldschmidt then tapped back to Sanchez on the first pitch he saw. Ben Rice then struck out on five pitches. Both Will Warren and Sanchez have four strikeouts up to this point.
Bottom of the 2nd inning – NY 0 PHI 2
Bryson Stott makes a great play in the top of the inning on defense, then we all know what happens, right? Stott saw a 93 mph fastball come inside on the first pitch he saw. The next pitch was a 93 mph fastball right down the middle, which Stott lasered into the right field seats.
Outside of the mistake to Stott, Will Warren struck out the other three batters he faced, one of the backward K variety.
Top of the 2nd inning – NY 0 PHI 1
Sanchez has the third-lowest walk rate in MLB at 4.5%, so of course he walks the leadoff hitter.
After a fielder’s choice groundout, Bryson Stott made a great play up the middle to snag a screamer, just missing an inning-ending double play.
Bottom of the 1st inning – NY 0 PHI 1
Trea Turner wasted no time, driving the second pitch he saw to right-center for a triple.
Turner then scored on a sac fly by Kyle Schwarber to right field.
Top of the 1st inning – NY 0 PHI 0
Christopher Sanchez got ahead of Paul Goldschmidt, 1-2, but Goldschmidt went down and plopped a single into left field. Against left-handed pitching, Goldschmidt is slashing .333/.415/.657 with a 197 wRC+ and .324 ISO.
Goldschmidt was left at first base, though, as Sanchez got a flyout, strikeout and ground ball to third base.
