The co-main event of today’s Zuffa Boxing 09 card features Richardson Hitchins vs. Ricardo Salas in a 10-round Welterweight contest. Hitchins is the current IBF Super Lightweight Champion but is moving up to 146 pounds for this bout. Salas is 24-2-2 with 18 knockouts and beat Jesus Saracho in March, which was his Zuffa Boxing debut.
Check out my best bet below for Richardson Hitchins vs. Ricardo Salas at tonight’s boxing event in New York City.
Richardson Hitchins by Decision or Technical Decision (-190)
Hitchins is coming off an eighth-round TKO victory against George Kambosos Jr in June 2025. He enters this contest with an undefeated record of 20-0 with eight wins by knockout. Since Salas suffered his second career loss in August 2021, he has gone on a 10-fight unbeaten streak with seven knockouts in that span as well. Hitchins has the height (5’9″ vs. 5’7.5″) and reach (74″ vs. 70.5″) advantage over Salas in this contest.Â
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Hitchins is a -800 favorite with Salas being a +500 underdog. This fight has an over/under of 10.5 rounds, with the over being -330 and the under is +230. Even though Hitchins is coming off a knockout, his four previous victories before that came by decision. Salas does have two career losses, but he has never been finished. I see Hitchins having a dominant performance and winning the fight on the judges’ scorecards.Â
