Yankees vs. Phillies NRFI (-130)
Taking the hill for New York tonight is Will Warren, making his 20th start of the season. Over 99.0 innings pitched, the right-hander has recorded a 4.00 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 97 strikeouts (8.8 K/9). During the past two seasons, he’s put up a stellar 78.0% NRFI rate as well. On paper, this Philadelphia offense should be one of the league’s more imposing units. However, that hasn’t been the case in 2026. The Phillies are only 18th in runs per game (4.35) and 23rd in OPS (.705).
On the other side, Jesus Luzardo will toe the slab for Philadelphia. The All-Star is enjoying a terrific campaign, notching a 3.43 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 143 strikeouts (11.2 K/9) over 115.1 innings. To boot, he comes into this one on an 11-game NRFI streak. Much like the Phillies, New York should be more intimidating at the plate. That’s proven somewhat difficult with Aaron Judge (ribs) on the injured list. The Yankees have produced a 91 wRC+ against right-handed pitchers in the first inning; that’s the fifth-lowest mark in baseball. Keeping that in mind, it’s difficult to back the Pinstripes against a high-end arm such as Luzardo.
Guardians vs. Rays NRFI (-120)
In this battle between southpaws, the Guardians will send out Joey Cantillo. The Hawaii native has been a decent, albeit unspectacular, hurler for Cleveland this season. Over 106.0 innings pitched (21 starts), he’s accounted for a 3.74 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 112 strikeouts (9.5 K/9). The 26-year-old is on the hook for a stellar 81.0% NRFI. In addition, he’s tossed six straight scoreless first innings. The Rays are an above average offense, but this could be a difficult spot. Tampa Bay has a .671 OPS on the road against left-handed pitchers, seventh-worst in the majors.
It’ll be Shane McClanahan on the bump for the Rays this evening. It’s been a terrific season from the former Cy Young winner. Through 91.0 innings of work (18 starts), he’s produced a 3.16 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 85 strikeouts (8.4 K/9). The veteran has been nearly unhittable at home, delivering a 1.88 ERA over eight starts at Tropicana Field. It’s not as if Sugar Shane is facing elite competition tonight. The Guardians are averaging just 4.01 runs per game, second-lowest in baseball. In addition, Cleveland’s lineup has a 25.00% YRFI rate, seventh-worst in the league. Add it all up, and it’s difficult to see the visitors generating much early offense in this one.
