The NFL season is almost here! There are plenty of ways to get in on the action before the season kicks off at DraftKings Sportsbook. The futures market is vast and full of bets to be made on all of the league’s teams and stars.
When it comes to individual players, the Offensive Player of the Year is one of the biggest honors one can receive. Here is a look at the 2026 NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds.
2026 NFL Offensive Player of the Year Odds
The NFL Offensive Player of the Year award has, in recent years, become the award given to the best skill position player. The NFL MVP is almost always given out to the league’s best quarterback, and then the best running back or wide receiver gets the Offensive Player of the Year award. Patrick Mahomes in 2018 is the last quarterback to win the award. Also, while quarterbacks like Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes have stacked multiple MVPs, rarely does a player win multiple OPOY awards.
There are only eight players in history to win multiple Offensive Player of the Year awards, and none are active players. So far this decade, the award has been won by Derrick Henry, Cooper Kupp, Justin Jefferson, Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Notably, none of those great players are in the top four of the odds list to win the award this year. Even when someone like Smith-Njigba, Barkley or Cupp has a historic season, there always seems to be someone else who emerges the following season with their own award-worthy campaign.
Offensive Player of the Year Contenders
The favorite to win the OPOY this year is Jahmyr Gibbs at +700. Gibbs has been one of the best running backs in the NFL over the past couple of seasons, but his stats have always been slightly stifled by being one half of “Sonic and Knuckles.” David Montgomery moved on to Houston this offseason, meaning Gibbs will officially own that backfield. Those extra touches, especially in the red zone, could finally push him over the edge for this award.
The other favorites are Bijan Robinson, Ja’Marr Chase and Puka Nacua, all among the best players in the NFL, but yet to win this award. Following that top four are four players that have won it before: Christian McCaffrey, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Justin Jefferson and Saquon Barkley. All of those players are capable of putting together another OPOY season and joining the ranks of legendary players to win this award twice.
The other two players rounding out the top 10 on the odds board are James Cook and CeeDee Lamb. Cook has established himself as one of the best backs in the league, but has always been overshadowed by his quarterback. Meanwhile, Lamb has been one of the best receivers in the NFL during the 2020s but hasn’t gotten his hands on this illustrious award yet.
Some of the long shots that have the ceiling to put together a special season and win this award are Drake London, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jonathan Taylor and Nico Collins.
