Love Island UK Episode 55 Recap 7/22/26

The islanders were sitting around having their normal morning chats when a group of four middle-aged people walked into the villa. It turns out they were not the oldest bombshells in history, but instead Tommy and Yasmin’s families. That set in the reality for everyone that today is family day.

Yasmin and Tommy

Yasmin’s mom and aunt came in and were very proud of her. Tommy’s mom and dad came in. They absolutely love Yasmin and are very happy with their son’s choices in the villa. It was all hugs, kisses and smiles for the first family visit of the day!

Angelista and Simba

Simba’s dad and brother came in to see him. Meanwhile, Angelista’s mom and brother came in to see her. Immediately, Angie’s brother makes it clear he will need to have a serious chat with Simba about his actions. Simba makes a genuine apology to Angie’s family, and her mom forgives him. However, Angie’s older brother pulls him for a one-on-one chat. He asks Simba some tough questions, but Simba takes accountability, and it’s all good in the end. It was the end of a true redemption arc for Simba.

Mica and Samraj

Mica’s mom and sister come in to see her, while Samraj has two of his friends visiting him. Samraj’s mates are happy to see him with Mica and say that she brings out a side of him they haven’t seen before. Mica’s family loves Samraj, and it’s another successful family visit.

Priya and Ethan

Priya’s mom and sister come in to see her. Meanwhile, Ethan’s mom and his friend came in to see him. Ethan’s mom was upset Priya brushed her son to the side, but she wasn’t too hard on Priya. Priya’s little sister was a huge fan of Aidan, and it seems like Priya’s family as a whole approves of that relationship.

Lorenzo and Julia

Lorenzo’s parents both came in, while Julia’s mom and friend are here. Lorenzo’s parents are very proud of him and are big fans of Julia. Julia’s family and friends all love Lorenzo and can see how happy Julia is. This is the first time Lorenzo has ever met a girl’s family or had a girl meet his family, so this is a big step for him. However, everything seems to go great.

The episode wrapped up with Lorenzo and Julia’s families heading off. On tomorrow’s episode, the Murphy family will be coming in to see Aidan and Kavan. Also, Jasmine’s family will be coming in to see her. The meeting between Jasmine’s family and Kavan was the most anticipated of the episode, and the producers are making the audience wait one more day to see that interaction.
