Best Scottie Scheffler prop bet for the 2026 3M Open

The final major of 2026 has come and gone, and now we head to Minnesota for the 2026 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities.

Scottie Scheffler has picked up one win this season at The American Express. He has been in the mix quite a bit, with 10 top five finishes.

DraftKings Sportsbook has plenty of betting options for the world #1 this week, and below is my favorite bet for Scheffler at the 2026 3M Open.

Scottie Scheffler Group A Winner (-154)

This bet can be found under the “Groups” tab. To win, Scheffler just needs to finish higher on the leaderboard than Kurt Kitayama, Maverick McNealy, Tom Kim and Hideki Matsuyama.

To beat out four of the best players in this tournament is a tall task, but I would rather take Scheffler to win this group versus his odds to win (+260) or a top five finish (-158) against a huge field. If the rest of the golfers in this group struggle, it could be a much easier path to victory for Scottie.

Relying on the others not to play well is realistic, and Scheffler turns up at almost every tournament he plays in these days. He has now finished inside the top five in seven of his last 10 tournaments. When he shows up, he competes at the top of the leaderboard all week long. I don’t expect anything different this week, and hopefully, another top five finish at the minimum will secure him as the victor in this group.

For comparison, only Tom Kim has a top five finish in the last 10 tournaments out of every other golfer in Group A. He has finished in the top five twice, while Kitayama, McNealy and Matsuyama have all failed to record a top five finish over their last 10 tournaments.

This will be his tournament debut at the 3M Open, so there aren’t any previous finishes to go off for Scheffler. That being said, he’s the best golfer in the world for a reason and his game holds up well at almost every professional golf course. I expect Scottie to finish in the top five of this tournament at the minimum, and that should be enough to be better than the rest of the golfers in Group A.
