UPDATE: Tigers at Cubs will begin at 8:35 p.m. ET.

The start of Monday evening’s matchup between the Detroit Tigers and Chicago Cubs has been delayed due to rain.

First pitch was initially scheduled for 8:05 p.m. ET at Wrigley Field, but inclement weather in the area will prevent a timely start. As such, the game will begin in a rain delay. An updated time for first pitch has not yet been announced.

DraftKings Sportsbook lists the Cubs as -114 home favorites on the Moneyline tonight. The Tigers are -105 underdogs with the run total set at a whopping 11.5.

As for starting pitchers, Detroit’s Jack Flaherty (3-8, 4.48 ERA, 98 SO) takes on Chicago’s Jameson Taillon (2-5, 5.19 ERA, 59 SO).

The Tigers have recently found some momentum, but remain fourth in the AL Central at 46-53. Meanwhile, the Cubs are second in the NL Central at 56-43.
