Rick and Morty Season 9 is is nearing its end, with the penultimate episode next on the docket. Adult Swim’s signature animated series is building up to a spinoff and a feature-length movie somewhere down the line, so the raunchy sci-fi show certainly won’t be slowing down anytime soon – unlike some of its contemporaries.

When does Rick and Morty Season 9 Episode 9 come out?
Rick and Morty Season 9 Episode 9 will premiere on Adult Swim at 11 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 19. The episode, which is titled Salute Your Morts, will have a runtime around 22 minutes. It will be available to stream on HBO Max and Hulu, but not until Monday, August 10. Episodes are hitting streaming on a three-week delay, so Episode 6 will be the one arriving on HBO Max and Hulu on Monday, July 20.
As was the case with the past seven seasons, Season 9 will be 10 episodes long. The finale on Sunday, July 26.

Rick and Morty has had a pretty stable cast over the years, barring Adult Swim cutting ties with co-creator and lead voice actor Justin Roiland in 2023. David’s President Curtis has his own spinoff show premiering in July, though, so he may not show up in the mainline series this season. Ed Helms, Rob Riggle, Keegan-Michael Key, Tilda Swinton, Owen Wilson, Ty Burrell, Justin Long and Andy Serkis are among the many celebrities who have cameoed this season, but their appearances were likely one-offs.
What to expect in Rick and Morty Season 9 Episode 9
Based on the lookahead to Season 9 Episode 9, Morty and Summer get expelled from school. Unsurprisingly, the staff doesn’t appreciate their abuse of Rick’s high-concept technology, which Summer even uses to mute all the adults in the disciplinary meeting between the principal, Beth and Jerry. Rick arrives via portal dressed as a farmer and proceeds to transform the principal into a carrot, but their problems aren’t solved yet. The episode’s synopsis is as follows:
