It’s time to get ready for the second half of the MLB season. Not only do we have a playoff chase, but we have individual awards to decide. The AL Cy Young Award might be one of the tightest races of the 2026 season, and we only have a couple of months to settle it. Who is going to take home the hardware? Let’s look at the current AL Cy Young Award odds.
Here are the updated AL Cy Young odds on the DraftKings Sportsbook:
Yankees ace Cam Schlittler narrowly leads the field at +120. After dazzling as a rookie, Schlittler’s first full season has been incredible. He leads the AL in ERA (2.05) and WHIP (0.944) while striking out 137 batters in 118.2 innings. He’s trailed by division rival Dylan Cease at +145. In his first season with the Blue Jays, Cease leads the league in K/9 and the AL in total strikeouts and FIP. His 2.56 ERA isn’t far off from Schlittler’s mark.
It’s largely a two-horse race, but there are some intriguing underdogs. Drew Rasmussen is putting in another great season for the Rays and leads the AL in walk rate and strikeout-to-walk ratio. Joe Ryan has a 2.85 ERA in 110.1 innings and should be one of the top trade targets before the July 31st deadline, which would boost his award profile. And tell your grandma Jacob deGrom is still doing it; the 38-year-old is turning in an excellent season for the Texas Rangers.
Though Cease and Schlittler remain the big favorites, Cy Young races can change in a flash. Not only do injuries loom large, but one bad start can balloon your ERA and take you out of the race. It should be an exciting sprint to the finish by all of these elite pitchers.
