Ousmane Dembele is great value here at +220. Kylian Mbappe is the obvious pick for this game, but his -105 odds are not quite as appetizing. Mbappe has taken all the shine away from his teammates, and deservedly so as he has played out of his mind so far in this World Cup.
However, let’s not forget that Dembele is the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner and one of the best players in the world. He has been lethal in this tournament cutting in on his left foot to shoot from the right wing. Dembele has only recorded six shots on target in the World Cup, scoring five of those. That’s a very impressive conversion rate. In fact, he’s only generated 1.24 expected goals in this tournament.
To sum that up, he’s scoring more than he should. Dembele is one of the best finishers on the planet, and when he gets a sniff at goal it usually goes in. I think he will find the net in this one and ultimately I expect France to advance to their third consecutive World Cup final.
