WNBA Best Bets Today: Top Prop Bets for Sunday, July 12

Updated:

By: Alex Hunter

Looking for the best WNBA player props today? For Sunday, July 12, my favorite DraftKings Sportsbook picks are Paige Bueckers O 21.5 Points (-120), Flau’jae Johnson U 12.5 Points (-106) and Sophie Cunningham U 8.5 Points (-130).

Below, I break down why each prop stands out based on projected role, matchup and recent performance.

Best WNBA Player Props Today

Top WNBA Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Paige Bueckers O 21.5 Points (-120)

Bueckers has been on fire. The UConn product is fresh off a 34-point outing vs. the Tempo and she has scored 22+ points in six of her last seven. Over this time, Bueckers is leading the Wings with a 26.2% usage rate. The guard is also shooting 54.8% from the floor and 35.5% on three-pointers.

Bueckers is facing the Sky tonight for the third time this season and in the first two matchups, she scored 24 and 19 points. Chicago ranks 10th in defensive rating and third in pace this season, and Dallas carries the highest implied team total on the slate in this spot at 94.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook. Leading the way for the Wings, Bueckers should flourish and clear 21.5 points.

Flau’jae Johnson U 12.5 Points (-106)

Johnson has been very erratic. In the rookie’s last eight, she has three outings over 20 points, but also three performances of 11 points or fewer, including a one-point showing in 31 minutes vs. the Fire, which was embarrassing, as Portland ranks second-to-last in defensive rating this season. Johnson is either impressive or underwhelming and facing the Mystics tonight, she is likely to have one of her subpar outings.

Washington ranks third in defensive rating and second-to-last in pace this season. Johnson has faced the Mystics twice this season, scoring 17 and eight points in those matchups. In Washington’s last six, its defense has held five of its opponents to under 80 points.

Sophie Cunningham U 8.5 Points (-130)

Caitlin Clark (probable, back) will be in the lineup for the Fever tonight vs. the Aces, which is bad news for Cunningham. The veteran has scored five points or less in three straight games with Clark active. Cunningham has fallen short of 8.5 points 8-of-17 games she has played alongside Clark this season and when sharing the floor with Clark, Cunningham’s usage slightly dips to 14.4%.

Cunningham is going against the Aces tonight, who she scored nine points against exactly a week ago, but this came with Clark sidelined. Las Vegas ranks sixth in defensive rating this season and Cunningham should have an even quieter showing tonight.
