Atlanta is a mess. EchoPark Speedway has produced 57 cautions during the Gen-7 era, more than any track on the circuit. This weekend proved it again. Saturday’s O’Reilly race ran 13 cautions — nine in stage three, four of them red flags. Less than half the field finished on the lead lap.
Blaney is a great plate driver. He knows how to survive a pack race and win. But skill only buys so much at a track where half the field wrecks regardless. The spring Cup race at Atlanta ran 10 cautions, and barely half the field finished on the lead lap. Blaney finished 10th anyway.

Across 27 Cup starts on superspeedways since 2022, Cindric is averaging an 18.8 finish with 17 finishes outside the top 10 — six of nine at Daytona (20.6 average), five of nine at Talladega (17.7 average), and six of nine at Atlanta (18.2 average). Two wins came in that span, but they sit alongside 17 finishes worse than 10th.
Atlanta since the reconfig has also been the most caution-choked track of the Gen 7 era. That works against a driver who’s already finished outside the top-10 two-thirds of the time on these tracks.

Predicting wrecks is dark. It’s not that different from predicting a football or basketball player’s stats will suffer because an injury limits his participation. It’s pessimistic, but it pays. This pick leans positive while staying realistic. There’s a high likelihood Blaney wrecks just like everyone else — that’s simply how Atlanta works right now. But he can still lead laps before a race-ending incident. The race will get hairy, but there’s plenty of time for Blaney to cruise up front before things get aggressive. The pole sitter has averaged 63 laps led per race at the newly reconfigured Atlanta Motor Speedway (EchoPark Speedway).

Enter an Amount
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.

When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Compete for Prizes
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
