Heatwave Friday gives this 2+ total bases board a little more life. The slate is carrying a massive offensive forecast, with roughly 40 homers expected across the day, and the best TB cases come from hitters already putting the right kind of contact in the air. We are looking for players with current barrel shape, hard-contact backing, pitch-mix paths, lineup help, and enough scoring context to turn one good swing into a quick cash.
The contact rates below come from each hitterโs last 10 balls in play, not a 10-game sample. That distinction is the whole point of todayโs board. Recent game logs tell us who is producing, but the BIP sample tells us whose swing is actually creating two-base contact right now. On a hot Friday slate built for offense, that lets us separate empty recent results from hitters carrying fresh damage indicators into the right pitcher, park, and weather setup.
Hereโs how Iโll play it. Iโll be pumping out props and predictions for individual games all season, with plenty of coverage here on DraftKings Network. Follow my handle @dansby_edits for more betting plays.

In-depth analysis below.
Prop bet analysis
Ben Rice 3+ total bases (+155)
Rice is the one hitter here worth pushing past the standard 1.5 total-bases line. His last-10 BIP profile gives the bet enough force for the bigger number: 50% hard-hit, 30% blast, 30% barrel, 10% pull-barrel, 60% fly-ball, and two HR. That is a clean extra-base shape, and the pitch fit gives him several ways to get there. The four-seam, slider, and splitter buckets all apply here, with the relevant mix clearing the .200+ ISO allowed marker for Zach Littell. Rice also owns the strongest value tag in the group at +49.1%, so this is not only recent power. It is current lift, current barrel quality, and a pitcher mix he can damage.
The box score has already caught up to the batted-ball profile. Rice enters at .275 with 28 HR, 65 RBI, a .366 OBP, .590 SLG, and .956 OPS. His July line is wild: 10-for-29, five HR, 11 RBI, six runs, five walks, and an .862 SLG. He just went 2-for-4 with two HR, five RBI, three runs, and a walk in a 12-4 Yankees win. That gives him five HR in seven July games and four multi-total-base games in that stretch.
The game environment also supports the bump to 2.5. Nationals Park checks in at 82 degrees, and the Yankees-Nationals total sits around 10 runs. Washington starts Carson Palmquist, who has a 7.11 ERA and 1.58 WHIP through 6.1 innings. The broader Washington pitching staff carries a 4.76 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and .259 opponent average. Zack Littellโs likely bulk presence keeps the original pitch-mix angle alive, and his allowed-contact profile is ugly: 92.1 mph EV, 46.4% hard-hit, .384 xwOBA, and 11.1% barrel rate.
Seiya Suzuki 2+ total bases (+115)
Suzukiโs case is built for total bases because the contact, pitch fit, and park all point the same way. His last-10 BIP profile checks in at 60% hard-hit, 20% blast, 20% barrel, 10% pull-barrel, 50% fly-ball, and two HR. The slider matchup is the key. Hunter Greeneโs slider bucket clears the .200+ ISO allowed mark, and Suzuki has enough lift to turn that pitch into a double or homer. Great American Ball Park gives that profile more life than a neutral venue.
The recent form is already producing bases. Suzuki is 7-for-28 in July with two doubles, three HR, eight RBI, five runs, and a .643 SLG. He has homered in back-to-back games. Thursday was the best version of this play: 3-for-4, double, HR, two RBI, one run, and a steal. The season line is solid enough underneath the heater, too, with 15 HR, 47 RBI, a .347 OBP, and .814 OPS.
Greeneโs name is bigger than his current form. He is coming off elbow surgery, and this is still a small-sample return profile. The current line is rough: 0-1 with a 21.60 ERA and 3.30 WHIP, while the Cubs-Reds total sits around 9.5 runs. Cincinnati also brings a helpful environment, with first-pitch weather around 80 to 84 degrees and only light wind.
The contact allowed makes the Suzuki bet cleaner. Greeneโs 2026 profile shows 93.9 mph average EV allowed, 12.5% barrel rate, and a 66.7% sweet-spot rate. That is a dangerous mix against a hitter who is lifting the ball and slugging again.
Manny Machado 2+ total bases (+135)
Machadoโs season line still drags the page, but his current damage profile is much better than the full-year slash. His last-10 BIP profile is one of the loudest in this group: 50% hard-hit, 40% blast, 40% barrel, 10% pull-barrel, 70% fly-ball, and four HR. That 70% fly-ball mark is the stat that makes this a total-bases play. Machado is not only hitting the ball hard. He is getting it in the air with enough barrel frequency to turn one mistake into two bases fast. The four-seam/slider matchup also clears the .200+ ISO allowed marker against Shane Bieberโs pitch mix.
The July production confirms the swing change. Machado is 6-for-26 this month with one double, three HR, six RBI, five runs, seven walks, and a .615 SLG. He has homered in three of his last six starts. He also had two of San Diegoโs three hits Thursday, including the Padresโ only run on a solo shot. That matters for this prop shape because the team offense has been uneven, while Machadoโs individual contact has separated from the rest of the lineup.
Bieber is the right pitcher to attack with this profile. He enters at 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA, 2.08 WHIP, 13 innings, 20 hits, seven walks, six HR allowed, and only nine strikeouts. Petco Park pulls some cheap power out of the game, and the 71-degree weather is neutral. That keeps Machado at 1.5 instead of a ladder. The contact allowed keeps the bet live anyway. Bieberโs 2026 profile shows 93.6 mph average EV allowed, 54.2% hard-hit, .486 wOBA, .502 xwOBA, and 16.7% barrel rate.
Yordan Alvarez 2+ TB (-110)
Alvarez has the best raw contact profile of the five. His last-10 BIP line is absurd: 80% hard-hit, 60% blast, 30% barrel, 20% pull-barrel, 40% fly-ball, and one HR. The homer count is lower than Rice, Machado, and Suzuki, but the contact quality is louder. That is the right setup for total bases. The cutter bucket clears the .200+ ISO allowed marker, and Alvarez has the exact profile to punish a cutter that catches too much plate.
The season-long production is still carrying the case. Alvarez enters at .310 with 29 HR, 67 RBI, a .416 OBP, .614 SLG, and 1.030 OPS. He ranks second in OPS among listed ESPN leaders and second in HR on the game page. July has been uneven by his standard, but the power is still there: 8-for-30 with three HR, seven RBI, and a .567 SLG. His 3-for-4, two-HR, six-RBI game against Tampa Bay on July 4 shows how quickly the bases can arrive.
Quantrill is the toughest opposing pitcher in this set. He enters at 3-1 with a 3.35 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, 40.1 innings, 35 hits, 12 walks, and five HR allowed. That keeps Alvarez at 1.5 instead of a ladder. Still, the specific cutter damage lane matters, and Quantrillโs broader profile has one crack. His allowed barrel rate sits at 10.3%, and his xwOBA allowed is .339. That gives Alvarez enough contact upside despite Quantrillโs lower hard-hit rate allowed.
Globe Life also removes weather risk on a hot Arlington night. Houstonโs lineup loses some table-setting with Jeremy Peรฑa on the IL, but Alvarezโs power stands on its own.
Matt Olson 2+ TB (+100)
Olson is fifth because the profile has one drag, but the total-bases case still gets there. His last-10 BIP profile shows 80% hard-hit, 40% blast, 20% barrel, 0% pull-barrel, 30% fly-ball, and one HR. The fastball bucket clears the .200+ ISO allowed marker against Kyle Leahy, so the pitch fit is there. The lower fly-ball rate and 0% pull-barrel mark keep this below the other four. The hard-hit and blast rates keep him firmly in the group.
The current power run is too strong to pass. Olson is 8-for-36 in July with two doubles, five HR, six RBI, 10 runs, five walks, and a .694 SLG. He has homered five times in his last seven games. He went deep Thursday in Pittsburgh, his 25th HR of the season, and helped Atlanta win 10-5. His season line now sits at .270 with 25 HR, 58 RBI, a .342 OBP, .546 SLG, and .888 OPS.
Leahy is not a pure gas-can matchup, but the contact profile fits Olson. He’s 7-4 with a 3.86 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, 86.1 innings, 92 hits, 33 walks, and nine HR allowed. Busch Stadium is not a cheap power park, though the 83-degree first-pitch weather helps the ball carry better than a cold St. Louis night.
The deeper contact metrics push Olson over the line. Leahy has allowed 91.8 mph average EV, 50.4% hard-hit, .341 wOBA, .359 xwOBA, and 11.3% barrels.
