Looking for the best WNBA player props today? For Thursday, July 9, my favorite DraftKings Sportsbook picks are Alyssa Thomas U 14.5 Points (-120), Kelsey Mitchell O 22.5 Points (-127) and Allisha Gray U 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (-109).

Below, I break down why each prop stands out based on projected role, matchup and recent performance.

Top WNBA Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Alyssa Thomas U 14.5 Points (-120)

Since returning from her one-game suspension for her unnecessary hit to Caitlin Clark, Thomas has been quiet as a scorer, finishing with nine points vs. the Storm and 11 points vs. the Sky. Thomas is averaging 14.2 PPG this season and she has fallen short of 14.5 points in 10-of-20 starts.

With Kahleah Copper leading the way for the Mercury, Thomas is handling a 21.9% usage rate this season, which is a drop from her 23.8% rate from last season. Copper has been red hot, scoring 20+ points in seven of her past eight and Phoenix should continue to feed her the rock tonight vs. the Fever, while Thomas continues to see a secondary role.

Thomas has been great vs. Indiana this season, scoring 19 and 24 points in two matchups, but Clark was active for both these games and she will be out tonight. Why is this important? Because the Fever’s defense has been far better without Clark this season. Indiana is only allowing 76 PPG with the guard inactive (three games) and with Clark off the floor, the Fever boast an elite 101.2 defensive rating, compared to a 110.9 defensive rating with her on. Indiana should finally give Thomas trouble tonight and she is a smart bet for under 14.5 points.

Kelsey Mitchell O 22.5 Points (-127)

While Thomas should suffer with Clark out, Mitchell should benefit in a big way. With Clark inactive this season, Mitchell has flourished as the Fever’s top option, leading the team with 24.5 PPG and 29% usage rate, which is a big jump from the 25% rate she is seeing with Clark active.

Mitchell has scored 26+ points in two of these three sans Clark and the Mercury are a plus matchup, as they rank 11th in defensive rating this season. Mitchell should have a huge showing and 22.5 points is too low for her in this optimal situation.

Allisha Gray U 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (-109)

It’s surprising Gray isn’t heavily favored for this under. The guard has been ice cold from deep recently, failing to hit multiple treys in six straight games and shooting an abysmal 16.1% from beyond the arc over this stretch.

During this timeframe, Gray went 1-of-7 on three-pointers vs. the Storm on June 27th, who she will face again tonight. Seattle is limiting it’s opponents to the lowest three-point percentage in the league this season (29.3%) and Gray’s shooting struggles should continue in this tough spot.
