At 39 years old, Novak Djokovic continues to prove why he is the best player of all time. He just went five sets in the heat and got the win against Felix Auger-Aliassime, a much younger player in remarkable form. One more Wimbledon title would be massive for Novak Djokovic. It would get him level with Roger Federer with eight Wimbledon titles, the most in men’s tennis history. It would also make Djokovic the greatest champion in the history of the sport of tennis. He already has the most major titles in men’s tennis history, but a 25th major title would break his tie with Margaret Court for the most in the history of men’s or women’s tennis.
Novak Djokovic vs. Jannik Sinner Pick, Best Bet
My best bet for this match is for Jannik Sinner to cover the spread of -5.5 games won. Novak Djokovic got the better of Sinner in Australia, but before that, Djokovic had really struggled against Sinner. Sinner had won five consecutive matches against Djokovic coming into 2026. Last year, these two met in the Wimbledon semi-finals as well. Sinner dominated Djokovic in that match, winning 6-3, 6-3, 6-4.
The biggest concern around Jannik Sinner in this match is the heat. The intense heat in Paris led to Sinner’s early exit from Roland-Garros. The weather has been mostly reasonable over the past week at Wimbledon. However, during this match on Friday, the weather is expected to hit 90 degrees or higher. Hopefully, Sinner has planned for the heat and will be ready to combat it better than he did in Paris. If he can do that, he should get his revenge against Djokovic and make it back to the Wimbledon final.
