San Antonio Spurs vs. Atlanta Hawks

The Spurs and Hawks are one of the first games to get underway in the Las Vegas Summer League, set to tip at 4:30pm ET on Thursday. Both rosters got some games under their belts prior to Vegas, with San Antonio participating in the California Classic and Atlanta in the Salt Lake City Summer League.

The Hawks appear to have the more balanced roster, and are growing favorites in the game. While I’d lean to Atlanta in the game, one thing is keeping me off backing that side. After resting in the California Classic, 2025 Lottery Pick, Carter Bryant, is going to suit up in Vegas. As a rookie, Bryant played a role for the Spurs last season, and saw limited time in the run to the NBA Finals. His time will likely be limited to a game or two in Vegas, but I expect him to be one of the best players in the league early on.

Bryant finished the regular season strong for San Antonio, going for 17, 12 and 13 points in his last three games. I expect him to be featured by the Spurs during his brief stint in Vegas, and really look to take control of this game. Bryant is a very good 3-point shooter, and I anticipate the agenda here for him to be aggressive as a scorer.

Bryant should be the most polished player on the floor in this game, so I’ll back him to score at least 15 points against the Hawks, particularly at plus-money.

NBA Summer League Pick: Carter Bryant 15+ Points (+130)
