Anytime Goalscorer Best Bets for France vs. Morocco
Achraf Hakimi, Morocco (+850)
Achraf Hakimi is Morocco’s best player. While he plays at right back, he is more than capable of scoring goals. In fact, Hakimi scored Morocco’s very first goal of this tournament against Haiti. Hakimi has scored at least two league goals in all five of his seasons at PSG. France has been so brilliant in this tournament that it will be difficult for anyone to score against them. Morocco will need to be quite defensive to stop the France attack, so it will take the perfect moment for them to get a goal on the other end.
There is a strong chance that Morocco’s best opportunity at a goal will come on a set piece. Hakimi can stand over a free kick and deliver the perfect hit to find the back of the net. He also can get his head on a set piece and score a goal that way. If Morocco is trailing and desperate for goals, Hakimi will also push forward and try to get into attacking areas. At this price, I will take the Moroccan captain to find a way to score a goal.
Ousmane Dembele, France (+165)
Ousmane Dembele has been the Robin to Kylian Mbappe’s Batman in this World Cup. Mbappe has been on another level, with seven goals scored at the 2026 World Cup. However, Dembele has four goals and two assists, a great campaign in his own right. The odds on Mbappe to score a goal are -130, while the odds on Dembele are +165. For me, there is more value in Dembele at his price than there is in Mbappe at his price.
There will be so much defensive attention on Mbappe that it could possibly open up that right wing for Dembele. Achraf Hakimi is Morocco’s best defender and best player, and he will be tasked with slowing down Bradley Barcola on the left wing. That gives Ousmane Dembele a more favorable matchup against Noussair Mazraoui, although Mazraoui is a quality player in his own right.
Dembele has a nose for the goal in big games. For PSG, he scored in both legs of the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich, and in the final against Arsenal. He should seize the moment again and score a goal against Morocco here.
