WNBA Best Bets Today: Top Prop Bets for Wednesday 7/8/26

Three games of action will take place across tonight’s Wednesday WNBA slate. Starting at 7:00 p.m. ET, the Golden State Valkyries will challenge the Toronto Tempo. A half hour later, the Connecticut Sun will host the Minnesota Lynx before the final matchup at 10:00 p.m. ET, where the Los Angeles Sparks and Indiana Fever will face off.

With plenty of action on the table, there are plenty of ways to get involved on DraftKings Sportsbook. Here are my top player props for tonight’s WNBA slate.

Top WNBA Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Gabby Williams Over 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (-121)

Gabby Williams and the Golden State Valkyries will open up the WNBA slate tonight in a matchup against the Toronto Tempo. The former All-Star has emerged as one of the foundational pieces of this youthful Valkyries squad, posting averages of 15.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.6 steals per game on the season. Williams is attempting a career-high 5.2 perimeter attempts per game and connecting at a career-best 35.7% rate. She is averaging 1.9 made three-pointers per game and connected with over 1.5 long-range shots in 12 of the 22 games this season.

Attacking from beyond the three-point line is a major part of Golden State’s identity. They lead the WNBA in three-point makes and attempts per game, ranking sixth in efficiency. This will be a major storyline tonight as the Tempo rank 10th in opponent three-point attempts allowed and seventh in opponent three-point percentage.

Williams is a major part of her team’s effort and has tallied over 1.5 perimeter makes in seven of her past 12 games. This is the first matchup against Toronto this season, but the 29-year-old has embraced more offensive freedom in Golden State and is producing at a career-best rate as a result of this. Williams trails only Janelle Salaun for the highest three-point volume on the team. Expect the Valkyries to have the three-point line circled as a point of emphasis more than usual given the favorable matchup and for Williams to be a key contributor in this effort. Back the Valkyries standout to deliver and record over 1.5 made three-pointers for the 13th time this season.

Leila Lacan Over 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (+126)

The Minnesota Lynx are tied for a WNBA-best 15-6 record on the season and are facing a Connecticut Sun team that is bringing up the rear with a 5-16 start to the year. Minnesota has also been mowing teams down, with its 15-6 record against the spread leading all teams in the WNBA. This is a matchup that could get out of control in a hurry, but don’t expect this to impact the level of opportunity for 22-year-old Leila Lacan.

The second-year standout is posting averages of 12.5 points, 4.4 assists, and 2.3 steals per game across her 12 games played. Lacan is attempting 4.2 perimeter shots per game and averaging 1.2 three-point makes. While her 28.0% three-point percentage does not pop off the page, Minnesota ranks 14th in opponent three-point attempts allowed. Especially with the concern of a blowout in mind, count on Lacan to be ready to let it fly from deep. She enters this matchup having made a pair of three-pointers in back-to-back games and has connected with as many as four perimeter shots in a game this year.

Connecticut has not provided much reason for optimism this season, but Lacan leads the team in minutes and will still see plenty of action if the game slips away. She is making her case for why she should be viewed as a foundational piece of the Sun’s future, and every game is another opportunity to prove this. Expect Lacan to capitalize on the 14th-ranked three-point defense of the Lynx and knock down a pair of three-pointers for the third straight game.

Kelsey Mitchell Over 23.5 Points (-106)

There is hope that Caitlin Clark will make her return to the floor tonight, as she has been upgraded to probable with the lingering back issues. However, she has not played since June 24th, and there is a strong chance Clark remains on some sort of minutes restriction. This will continue to leave more responsibility on the plate of Kelsey Mitchell, who will be eager to take advantage of this favorable defensive matchup.

Mitchell has been the leading scorer on this Fever team all season at 21.9 points per game. She has scored over 23.5 points in eight games this year, including three straight entering tonight’s contest. The three-time All-Star most recently dropped 27 points against the Aces, 26 against the Sparks, and 30 while facing off with the Mercury.

This is especially noteworthy as Indiana will prepare to match up with the dreadful Sparks defense. Los Angeles enters this matchup giving up 93.6 points per game, which ranks dead last in the WNBA. The Sparks also rank last in defensive rating and last in opponent field goal percentage. Mitchell and the Fever have faced the Sparks twice this season, and she has produced scoring totals of 23 and 26 points. With the star guard in strong form, facing the worst defense in the league, and with Clark still dealing with the effects of her injury, this all aligns for a strong scoring performance tonight. Back Mitchell to score over 23.5 points for the fourth straight game and second time against the Sparks this season to close down tonight’s WNBA slate.
