Yordan Alvarez 1+ Home Run (+252)
Yordan Alvarez and the Astros are closing out a series in Washington, D.C., against the Nationals and lefty Foster Griffin. Griffin has allowed 17 homers in his 18 starts this year, and 10 of those have been in his eight home outings. Alvarez will be in that lefty-lefty matchup, but he has hit eight of his 29 homrs this season against lefties and has a .283 ISO against them. Alvarez hasn’t homered yet in this series but has four homers in his last seven games with a 60% hard-hit rate over that span. Nationals Park is a fairly homer-friendly environment, and Alvarez has proven he can go yard in any matchup, so the public is in on him on Wednesday night in Washington.
Junior Caminero 1+ Home Run (+270)
Caminero is closing in on Alvarez and is up to 26 homers on the season. In his last 12 games, Caminero has 10 home runs. He has a 51.4% hard-hit rate and 21.6% barrel rate during that stretch with a .512 wOBA and .625 ISO. Caminero hasn’t homered in the first two games of his series with the Yankees, but on Wednesday night, he’ll face Gerrit Cole, who has served up eight homers in his eight starts this season. Caminero is 0-for-2 with a walk against him in the past, but he is so hot at the plate that the public is backing him anyway. Caminero has hit 15 of his 26 home runs at home, where he is hitting .318 with a 1.001 OPS and .321 ISO on the season.
Pete Crow-Armstrong 1+ Home Run (+265)
The Cubs and Pete Crow-Armstrong are in Baltimore, facing Dean Kremer and the Orioles on Wednesday night. The weather is forecast to be very warm with a slight breeze blowing out. PCA has hit .400 (30-for-75) over his last 20 games with seven homers, with a 50% hard-hit rate and a .347 ISO. He has hit 14 of his 19 homers against righties like Kremer. Lefties like PCA have had plenty of success against Kremer, with four of the five homers against him in his 17 innings this season.
