The Renaissance Club (par 70, 7,282 yards, fescue greens) in North Berwick, Scotland, will host the Genesis Scottish Open for the eighth year in a row. This event is co-sanctioned between the PGA TOUR and DP World TOUR. There will be 156 golfers competing and a top-65 and ties cut after the first two rounds.

Brian Harman to make the cut
After missing the cut in his debut at the Renaissance Club in 2022, Harman has made three straight cuts at the par 70, two of which have been top-25 results. The veteran has shot under par in 9-of-14 rounds at the Renaissance Club and Harman knows how to handle the unpredictable conditions in Europe, as he won the Open Championship at Royal Liverpool in 2023. Harman ranks 20th in this field in strokes gained per round in Europe and he has been reliable recently, missing only one cut in his last 14 starts. Harman has finished inside the top-25 five times during this stretch, most recently with a T25 at the Travelers Championship two weeks ago. At TPC River Highlands, Harman posted a season-low 7-under 63 in the third round and for the week, he ranked fourth in SG APP among the stacked field at the Signature Event.
Nick Taylor to make the cut
Taylor has never missed a cut in four starts at the Renaissance Club, including two top-25 finishes. The Canadian has shot a 5-under 65 at this course twice and Taylor has been a consistent cut maker this season, missing only two cuts in 18 starts. The five-time PGA TOUR winner most recently finished T25th at the Travelers Championship two weeks ago and he was stellar over the weekend at TPC River Highlands, shooting a 6-under 64 on Saturday and a 5-under 65 on Sunday. Taylor should carry this momentum over to the Renaissance Club and have no issues making the cut. The veteran ranks 16th in proximity to the hole on 175-200-yard approach shots this season, which is a key distance for this week, as 25.4% of the approach shots at the Renaissance Club over the last five years have come from this far out.
Nico Echavarria to make the cut
Echavarria is less than five months removed from his win at the Cognizant Classic and he has been dependable lately, only failing to make the cut once in his last eight starts. Echavarria last finished T30th at the Travelers Championship and he opened this Signature Event with a 6-under 64 at TPC River Highlands. Echavarria also gained strokes on approach and he finished with a 77.8% GIR rate for the week, which is a season best for him. Next, Echavarria heads to the Renaissance Club, where he has finished MC and T22nd in two starts. That T22 came last season and Echavarria flourished in the first round with a 6-under 64. Playing strong golf right now, Echavarria has the potential for a similar result this week.
