DraftKings WNBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball Picks Today: Top Picks for 7/8/26

By: Bill Yin

We’ll get started today with our WNBA Pick6 slate, which includes three games. The Tempo will host the Valkyries at 7 PM EST, the Sun will host the Lynx at 7:30 PM, and the Sparks will host the Fever for the last game of the night at 10 PM.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.

Kelsey Mitchell More than 23.5 Points

With Caitlin Clark out, Mitchell has a pretty easy path to 23.5 points tonight, especially considering the fact that Los Angeles boasts the worst scoring defense in the league. Mitchell leads Indiana at 21.9 PPG, and the Fever should need her shot volume again with Clark missing from the backcourt. The Sparks are allowing 93.6 PPG, and their recent defensive form has been even worse, with 106.0 PPG allowed over their last three games. We just saw this matchup on June 27, when Indiana put up 111 points and Mitchell scored an easy 26 on 9/13 shooting. The line is a little above her season average, but all indications point toward another aggressive scoring night.

Brittney Griner More than 4.5 Rebounds

Griner only needs five boards tonight, and given her season-long average, that’s looking very possible tonight. She is averaging 5.8 RPG, and Connecticut will be without Aneesah Morrow, who leads the Sun at 9.4 RPG. Morrowโ€™s absence removes a major rebounder from the frontcourt and should keep more interior work available for Griner and Olivia Nelson-Ododa. Griner also just handled this same Minnesota matchup well, finishing with a massive 29 points and 10 rebounds double double in Mondayโ€™s win. If she stays in the mid-to-high 20s in minutes, this number is low enough to attack.

Nneka Ogwumike More than 24.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Ogwumikeโ€™s PRA line gives us the right way to play her role against Indiana. She averages 16.1 PPG, 8.7 RPG, and 2.3 APG, putting her at 27.1 PRA before adjusting for the Sparksโ€™ injury situation. With Kelsey Plum out, Los Angeles needs more of Ogwumikeโ€™s scoring and connective offense. Cameron Brinkโ€™s absence also keeps more frontcourt responsibility on Ogwumike, even if Indiana has been a tougher rebounding matchup than scoring matchup. Weโ€™re not banking on one specific stat spiking here, but rather on Nnekaโ€™s all-around workload being strong enough to clear a modest PRA number.
