This has been a much-needed run for Coco Gauff. Since winning Roland-Garros in 2025, she had not made it back to a major semifinal until this tournament. In fact, Gauff had never made it past the fourth round at Wimbledon until this year. Grass has always been Gauff’s weakest surface, but she is hoping to break through and win the title at Wimbledon in 2026.
Coco Gauff has always been a streaky player. She is immensely talented and is a proven major winner. If Gauff wins the title here at Wimbledon, she will be an Australian Open away from the Career Grand Slam. Gauff has always been her best on hardcourt. However, in 2025, she went on an incredible run to win the French Open title. Gauff has not won a title on clay before or since then, but she used her incredible talent to ride the momentum and win a title. She is the highest-ranked player left in this field and has a great chance to win two more matches to claim this title.

My best bet for this match is on Coco Gauff’s Moneyline. Neither of these players is traditionally at their best on grass. Muchova is the more in-form player at the moment, due to winning a title in Germany prior to Wimbledon. However, at this point in the tournament, anyone still here is in good form. For me, this comes down to Gauff having the higher ceiling. She is a proven major winner, unlike Muchova. This is a great opportunity for Gauff to get three-quarters of the way to the Career Grand Slam, and she should take it.
Coco Gauff also has a great head-to-head record against Karolina Muchova. Gauff is 6-1 in her career against Muchova. They have played at two majors before, and Gauff won both of those meetings. These two have faced off in a semifinal or final four times, and Gauff has won all four of those.
