There is a great quarter-final matchup set between Marta Kostyuk and Jasmine Paolini at the 2026 Wimbledon Championships.
Here is my pick, prediction and best bet for this highly-anticipated match.
Marta Kostyuk vs. Jasmine Paolini Prediction
Jasmine Paolini Preview
This has been a great tournament for Jasmine Paolini. Paolini had really lost her form over the past year or so. In 2024, she was one of the best players in the world, making the final at both Roland-Garros and Wimbledon that year. However, before the 2026 Wimbledon Championships, Paolini had not even made it past the third round in her past four major appearances. There was not a lot of hope around Paolini’s chances here at Wimbledon. Not only had she struggled most of the past year, but she was upset in her opening match as the top seed in the Eastbourne Open just before Wimbledon. However, she has found her game again and used her experience to make it back to a major quarter-final.
Marta Kostyuk Preview
This has been an incredible year for Marta Kostyuk. Ever since the tennis calendar switched from hardcourt to clay season, she has been one of the best players in the world. Kostyuk had a nearly perfect clay season, winning the Open de Rouen, winning the Madrid Open and then making the Roland-Garros semi-finals. Kostyuk won 16 matches in a row, got her first-ever WTA 1000 title and made her first career major semi-final.
Marta Kostyuk unfortunately had an injury that kept her out of the lead-up tournaments to Wimbledon. So, she didn’t get a chance to play on grass until Wimbledon started. However, Kostyuk picked up right where she left off at Roland-Garros. She has stormed into her first career Wimbledon quarter-finals and is favored to make the next round.
Marta Kostyuk vs. Jasmine Paolini Pick, Best Bet
This is a great battle of form versus experience. Marta Kostyuk has been one of the best players in the world the past few months. While, Paolini is a former Wimbledon finalist who has played in many more high-pressure matches. My best bet is for Marta Kostyuk to defeat Jasmine Paolini in straight sets. While Paolini has used her experience to survive to this point at Wimbledon, this will be her toughest test to date. Thanks to Alexandra Eala, Paolini avoided having to face Iga Swiatek in the fourth round. It has been a relatively easy road for her so far.
Outside of this tournament, Paolini’s tennis has been really uninspiring in 2026. Meanwhile, Kostyuk has only lost one tennis match since the beginning of April. She should be the clearly superior player in this match and take care of business in two sets.
