BREAK IT DOWN:
Dominique Malonga 20+ Points (+112)
While this season hasn’t been the easiest for the Storm, Malonga continues to grow into one of the league’s brightest young stars. Over her last five games, the 20-year-old has scored 16+ points in four of them, including a 37-point, 12-rebound double-double in an overtime loss to Dallas. According to the DraftKings Sportsbook Stats Hub, Malonga has scored 22+ points in each of her last three appearances after playing fewer than 25 minutes in the Storm’s last game. Against a Sparks team that continues to struggle defensively, 20+ points feels well within reach for Malonga.
Kayla McBride 3+ Three Pointers Made (+118)
McBride has been making it rain from three over her last handful of games. Over her last three contests, the Lynx veteran has knocked down 4+ threes in each game while averaging an impressive 11 three-point attempts per game. She now draws a favorable matchup against the 4-16 Connecticut Sun, who are allowing opponents to shoot 35.3% from three this season (11th). 3+ made threes isn’t guaranteed, but looking at her recent form, I like the value here.
Kiki Irafen Under 14.5 Points (-110)
Despite missing time with an ankle injury, Iriafen returned to the lineup in just as impressive form, averaging 17.0 points per game over her last six contests. However, that average is a bit inflated by a 27-point outing against the Fire in a four-overtime thriller, while three of her last six games have finished under 14.5 points. The Mystics take on the Valkyries on Monday night, a team allowing the fewest points per game in the league (78.1). While Iriafen is certainly talented, Golden State’s suffocating defense makes scoring difficult, and I’m siding with the public on the under here.
