BREAK IT DOWN:
(Stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Kyle Schwarber 1+ Home Run (+220)
Schwarber is the only player in the majors with 30 homers this season, and the public is backing him to get to 31 on Saturday as the Phillies face Michael Wacha and the Royals in Kansas City. Schwarber is 7-for-22 (.318) in his career against Wacha, with four homers as part of those seven hits. Schwarber has smashed 20 of his 30 homers against righties like Wacha this season. He has only had one homer over his last 10 games, hitting .206 in those matchups. Schwarber does have seven homers in his last 20 games, though, so he has a good chance to snap out of this brief dry spell with a home run to celebrate July 4th this Saturday.
Pete Crow-Armstrong 1+ Home Run (+428)
Crow-Armstrong is a controversial figure, but the public likes him at long odds to go yard on Saturday night in Chicago. He’ll be taking on Kyle Leahy, who he has gone 4-for-8 with a double against in their past meetings. PCA was named NL Player of the Month for June and has hit 12 homers in his 28 games since June 1. He has hit a blistering .384 with a .521 wOBA, 50.6% hard-hit rate and a 12.7% barrel rate over those 28 games, after only hitting seven homers in his 60 games before June began. PCA has hit 14 of his 19 homers against righties and 12 of his 19 homers at home, and he’ll be on the strong side of both those splits on Saturday. Since the wind is forecast to be blowing in, the odds are nice and long here, which could make it an even bigger payout if he can run into one on Saturday night.
Hunter Goodman 1+ Home Run (+227)
At Coors Field, Goodman to hit a home run is another one of the most-bet prop plays this July 4th. Goodman and the Rockies are taking on the Giants after winning three straight at home against the Marlins and Giants. Goodman homered on Wednesday for his 27th blast of the year, and he’s now second in the MLB behind only Schwarber. Goodman has six homers in his last seven games and will take on lefty Robbie Ray on Saturday night in Denver. Ray has allowed 14 homers in 17 games this season, with righties like Goodman hitting 13 of those 14 homers. He has a 4.54 road ERA and has allowed nine homers in eight road games, setting Goodman up in a good spot on Saturday night to continue his recent power surge.
3-Pick Same Game Parlay
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a same-game parlay (SGP) and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
Kyle Schwarber 1+ Home Run (+220)
Pete Crow-Armstrong 1+ Home Run (+428)
Hunter Goodman 1+ Home Run (+227)
