What Happened on Movie Night? Love Island USA Thursday Recap

Back to one, everybody!

After a drawn-out intermission, Love Island USA’s fan-favorite Movie Night is back in action. The show’s signature challenge returned on Tuesday, putting Zach’s deception, KC’s divisive comments, Aniya’s double standards, and Sincere’s manipulation on the big screen for every islander to see.

With new secrets exposed, more islanders in the hot seat, and tough conversations ahead, here’s what went down in Thursday’s episode.

Love Island USA Recap, Thursday, 7/2/26

Movie Night resumed without missing a beat. The first act was Corbin, who got exposed for even more disrespectful comments toward Kenzie while growing his Casa Amor connection with Parmida. Of course, the reel included the infamous “college girls vs. high school girls” comment that he made to KC. While largely laughing off his lowlight reel, Corbin took the criticism on the chin and owned up to his dubious behavior.

However, Corbin was slightly vindicated in the following clip, which highlighted Kenzie’s double dealing between Corbin and Caleb. Not even the girls could defend her for her “lustful” ways, which happened to be the same reason she justified booting Gabriel from the villa earlier this season. After the clip, a too-stunned-to-speak Kenzie listened as Caleb and her new connections, Dylan and Gal, expressed their disgust with the behavior they’ve grown all too familiar with.

They certainly saved the best for last. Interweaving clips of Melanie and Sincere’s Casa experiences with Corey and Amora, respectively. Melanie was dumbfounded to learn that, just before returning from Casa alone, Sincere told Amora that she “would have been the one” if they had just had more time. Reminiscent of her justified outburst at the Casa recoupling, Melanie exploded at Sincere once again, lambasting him for making her look “stupid.” Sincere, rarely the responsible type, tried to flip the situation on her — a decision that Bryce told him in the moment was a bad move. The heated exchange culminated with Melanie storming off in tears, comforted by Aniya in the glam room.

At that point, the men and women broke out into their groups to decompress. Hilariously, it was Corbin who acted as the voice of reason for Sincere, telling him, “You can’t keep f–king up.” Shortly after, Aniya commendably interrupted the boys to offer KC a heartfelt apology for exploding at him earlier that night; KC also admitted fault for standing up in the first place.

On the other side of the villa, the simmering tension between Tierra and the rest of the girls was put to rest after she hugged both Aniya and Trinity. The conversation quickly shifted to Kenzie, with the other girls emphasizing that her perpetual promiscuity was a really, really bad look. The next day, Kayda told Kenzie that she was “giving Sincere.”

While Zach and Kayda were able to put their conflict aside after Movie Night, Melanie left Sincere to his own devices and spent the night alone in Soul Ties. The next day, Aniya told Sincere that she was deeply disappointed in him; Bryce joked to Melanie that “He’s just kind of stupid.”

After Movie Night exposed their couple as comically surface-level, Parmida pulled Corbin aside to get to know him “on a deeper level or something.” Their brief chat showed viewers that they aren’t shallow — they’re the exact same.

Movie Night served as a wake-up call for KC, who admitted to Tierra — and later to Caleb and Corbin —that he regrets all the “bulls–t” he said about Aniya behind closed doors. He took accountability the following night, admitting that he let resentment fester before it ultimately boiled over during Casa. Aniya accepted KC’s apology, and they agreed to put the past behind them and be happy for each other moving forward. KC finally got his hug, Aniya her reassurance, and the villa, a collective sigh of relief.

Not every troubled pairing could work toward a resolution. Trying to explain himself to Melanie, Sincere got “really vulnerable” and revealed that he’s… a people pleaser? Having put up with far too much already, Melanie pushed back on his hollow excuses — telling him that he doesn’t deserve to be in a relationship with her. Time will tell whether she finally listens to herself, her fellow islanders, and the mountain of red flags.

But wait, there’s more.. Love Island USA is reaching a breaking point, with a recoupling, a dumping, and a vote on deck for Friday night.
