Los Angeles Dodgers Team Total Over 5.5 Runs
Odds: +114 | Opponent: San Diego Padres
This is a big team total for the Dodgers tonight, but I believe it’s warranted. Randy Vásquez will make his third start against the Dodgers, and it hasn’t gone well each time. Through two starts, Vásquez has allowed 10 runs (seven earned) on 14 hits, including three home runs, through 7.2 innings. What’s most eye-popping, however, are the advanced stats Vásquez has in these starts. He owns a 9.50 FIP and a 21.60 xERA in those starts. Those are insane numbers to see. It makes sense, though, as Vásquez owns an overall 4.44 ERA with an xERA of 7.04. He’s clearly a major regression candidate. I would expect another bad start from the Padres starter, putting the Dodgers in an excellent spot to go over this team total.
Riley Greene 2+ Total Bases
Odds: +116 | Opponent: Texas Rangers
Nathan Eovaldi will take the mound for the Rangers tonight against the Tigers. Pitching at Globe Life Field hasn’t gone well for Eovaldi, as he owns a 4.50 ERA with a 4.70 FIP and a 1.9 HR/9. In particular, lefties have been his biggest problem, as they’ve tagged him for a .346 wOBA and five of the 17 home runs he’s allowed at home. This has me eyeing Greene in this spot to record 2+ total bases against the Rangers. While Greene hasn’t hit for the power we saw him display last season, he’s been picking it up in the department as of late. He has three extra-base hits over his last five games. Overall, in June, Greene posted a .247 ISO, his highest mark of the season.

Bryce Miller Under 17.5 Outs Recorded
Odds: +121 | Opponent: Los Angeles Angels
I’ve been playing this prop frequently with Miller, as he has gone under this number in the majority of his starts. Despite pitching well, Miller has gone under 17.5 outs recorded in five of the seven starts he’s made. It’s not because he isn’t pitching well; he simply throws a lot of pitches early, which leads to these early departures. The Angels will swing and miss a lot in this game, so that will help drive up the pitch count as well. The Angels have been one of the best teams to target for strikeouts, as tonight’s expected lineup has a combined 28.2% K% against right-handed pitching. As long as this line remains at 17.5, I’m going to play the under.
