FT: The United States 2-0 Bosnia. The U.S. have advanced to the Round of 16 and will face Belgium on Monday in Seattle. The bad news is that Folarin Balogun will be suspended for that match.
81′: GOAL FOR THE UNITED STATES. What a free kick from Malik Tillman. He bends it perfectly over the wall from just outside the box on the left side. The USA have one foot in the Round of 16. United States 2-0 Bosnia.
63: RED CARD FOR BALOGUN. It’s a coming together between Balogun and a Bosnian defender, and Balogun catches the defender on the ankle. It seems pretty harsh, but VAR recommended that the referee look at the monitor, and it’s been deemed a red.
HT: The United States 1-0 Bosnia. It could easily be more for the Americans. The United States have five shots compared to one for Bosnia. Both sides have one shot on target.
45+7′: CHANCE. Folarin Balogun almost has the ball in the net again. Sergiño Dest puts the cross in to Balogun, who gets in front of the defender but doesn’t get great contact on it and the ball hits the bar and goes over.
44′: GOAL FOR THE UNITED STATES. Folarin Balogun puts the ball away for the second time, and this one counts. Malik Tillman plays a through ball his way, and the Bosnian defender loses track of the ball and it falls to the feet of Balogun who slots it home. The United States 1-0 Bosnia.
31′: Goal for the United States, but it’s ruled out for offside. Weston McKennie slips Balogun in on goal after Bosnia gives the ball away in a dangerous position. Balogun puts it in, but he’s slightly offside.
29′: Penalty shout for the United States, but it’s not given. Folarin Balogun makes a great move in the box and beats his defender, and there looks to be some slight contact as Balogun goes down. It’s not deemed as enough to give a penalty, and play continues.
10′: Another scare for the U.S. Matt Freese has to scramble to a Bosnia corner that was going in directly from the corner kick. Early warning signs for the Americans.
9′: The first chance of the game falls to Bosnia. It’s a long ball up to Edin Džeko, who holds the ball up well and plays it to Ermedin Demirović, who’s shot is saved by Matt Freese.
