Step aside, Spider-Man and Christopher Nolan — this is the people’s Movie Night. Tuesday’s episode of Love Island USA kicked off the signature challenge, dragging buried secrets back into the light and reopening wounds once barely patched over with half-hearted apologies.
The sole off-night on the show’s daily release schedule presents the perfect time to see where things stand amid the fallout from Casa Amor and the first half of Movie Night — and what it could mean for our islanders, including the newest bombshells, moving forward.
Let’s dive into my power rankings for Love Island USA Season Eight after Week 4.
Love Island USA Power Rankings
19. Sincere (-8)
Not even the boys could defend this man during Movie Night — and there’s still more to come. Sincere has clearly been the most toxic person in the villa, manipulating, deflecting, and abstract-metaphoring his way through the entire experience. How many times does Melanie have to hear it from other islanders or watch him in the act before she finally drops him? There is no world in which Sincere shouldn’t be drawing at least the same level of pushback as KC.
18. Kenzie (-8)
If you watched the preview after Tuesday’s episode, you know that Kenzie is going to find herself in some hot water after Movie Night. She talks about “lust” as if it’s some incriminating trait on an island full of scantily clad singles who make out all day, while conveniently ignoring the fact that she is still exploring connections — now having played tonsil tag with seven different men. Kenzie’s blatant hypocrisy should be exposed soon enough.
17. Gal (NR)
I know nothing about this man, other than that he has a mustache, makes a mean cup of coffee, and may or may not lure Kenzie away from Dylan.
16. Jaiden (NR)
Jaiden has barely gotten any screen time since the Casa-Villa merger. But it seems as if that connection with Caleb is already heading south, which could mean their time in the villa is drawing to a close.
15. Caleb (-7)
A bombshell that never went off. Caleb entered the villa with plenty of promise, handpicked for Kenzie, but he has yet to establish a lasting connection with anyone there. Both Kenzie and Parmida gravitated towards Corbin, and his current relationship with Jaiden has gotten less screen time than a kid with strict parents.
14. Zach (-1)
Zach was the first one up for Movie Night, and it did not end well. Although he told Kayda much of what went down at Casa Amor, it all looked so much worse on the big screen. And it certainly didn’t help his case that he failed to communicate that his Casa connection was removed from the villa after a few days. Overall, it was a really bad look for the already divisive Brit.
13. Parmida (NR)
Parmida made the right decision not to ignore Corbin’s past behavior. But she’s also not holding it against him. The “Persian Cat” has quickly established herself as one of the more confident and outspoken contestants in the villa, one who’s unafraid to argue her stance or defend her partner. Albeit abrupt, it’s not entirely shocking that she and Corbin became this season’s first closed-off couple, beating Bryce and Trinity by a matter of minutes in Monday’s episode.
12. Melanie (-5)
I saw a post on X the other day that said, “They stole [Melanie’s] whimsy.” Unfortunately, she did it to herself. Melanie’s crash-out at Sincere during the Casa recoupling would have been so much more satisfying if she done it with Corey standing next to her. Instead, she chose to be delusional — her word, not mine — and backslid into this season’s most toxic couple. Movie Night has to be where she finally draws the line.
11. Aniya (-6)
It’s not KC’s fault that Aniya made the wrong decision at the Casa recoupling. Yes, she has every right to feel disrespected by the comments he made behind her back, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that she refuses to let KC get a word out, has left several conversations unresolved by storming off, and was clearly never okay with him exploring other connections. Let’s not forget their last conversation before Casa, where Aniya told KC — to his surprise — to “do whatever you want.” Movie Night showed that she did the same thing, and it culminated with her shouting in KC’s face.
Aniya is looking for her Prince Charming, yet she has ignored countless red flags and pieces of advice, ultimately turning down the “perfect” guy for someone she herself has called a coward. And as the cherry on top, she now finds herself rekindling things with Carl, whom she described as the “safe option” after his brief elimination.
10. Jen (-1)
Jen has earned a reputation as a “nothingburger” on X, although the nickname seems more affectionate than dismissive. Either way, she stood out this week. She was the first to call out Kenzie’s lustful behavior and later pointed out KC’s hypocrisy during Movie Night.
9. Dylan (NR)
Dylan is justly baffled as to why Kenzie, who brought him back from Casa Amor, is still exploring connections in the season’s homestretch. In wearing his heart on his sleeve, he may be the one who can spark a change in her lustful behavior — or expose it to the rest of the villa.
8. Amora (NR)
Poor Amora. Like Sol before her, the Casa Amor bombshell has been reduced to collateral damage in the never-ending saga between (In)Sincere and Melanie. She’s now back in a villa where she couldn’t feel less welcome, waiting for the inevitable Movie Night fallout after Melanie learns that Sincere, just before leaving Casa alone, told Amora she “would have been the one” if they’d had more time.
7. Corbin (-1)
He may be disrespectful and potentially a robot, but at least Corbin is authentic, which isn’t something that can be said for every man in the villa. He isn’t performing for anyone, he takes criticism on the chin, and he stands up for his friends, namely KC. Meanwhile, his fiery connection with Parmida makes for one of the villa’s more compatible pairings. Corbin won’t leave Movie Night unscathed, but Kenzie’s reel might be enough to shift a few islanders’ opinions on him.
6. KC (-4)
There’s no denying that KC should have handled things differently with Aniya. He said a handful of disrespectful things behind her back, made several ill-timed jokes, sent mixed signals, and has consistently struggled to explain his thought process. But have his actions truly been worse than Sincere’s? Or Zach’s?
Based on how Aniya and the rest of the villa reacted to KC’s Casa recoupling, you would think he had cheated on his wife of 15 years.
KC returned from Casa with Tierra, who seems to genuinely make him happy, and has spent every day since getting lambasted as a coward, a bum, and the like. He’s criticized for failing to speak up for himself while being constantly interrupted by people other than Aniya. Even after his damning Movie Night reel, he took accountability and apologized not only to Aniya but to every woman in the villa. I can’t help but feel he’s being wrongly painted as this season’s “Big Bad” when there are several islanders whose behavior has been far worse.
5. Tierra (NR)
After a dramatic introduction, Tierra — or TiTi — has found her place in the villa. She’s settled in with the girls, including Aniya, while balancing an “Us Against the World” bond with KC. At Movie Night, she smartly pointed out that Aniya “would have been mad regardless” of KC’s decision at the recoupling and challenged the boys to admit they believed she was a better match for him.
4. Kayda (-1)
I was wondering when the producers, if ever, would tell Kayda that Zach’s Casa connection had already taken an early flight out of Fiji. On Tuesday, she put on the detective hat and deduced it herself. Kayda has every right to be furious with her partner, especially after all the deception she’s already dealt with. But since Zach returned from Casa alone, it feels like much of that frustration has been redirected toward KC instead.
3. Carl (NR)
One of the standout bombshells from Casa Amor, Carl earned a well-deserved second chance after America voted him back into the fold. He’s wisely staying more guarded with Aniya this time around, and it’ll be interesting to see how their connection holds up after Movie Night.
2. Bryce (+2)
Bryce has been on his best behavior this week. He aced Casa Amor — the show’s toughest relationship test — before asking Trinity to be his girlfriend. However, he’s going to have to start stepping up when group conversations get tense and back his partner in the heat of the moment.
1. Trinity (–)
The top spot on my power rankings remains unchanged. She and Bryce spent Monday’s episode skipping the signature Love Island step of closing things off and jumping straight into a committed relationship outside the villa. It’s worth noting that Trinity has had a lot to say about KC and Aniya, seemingly still hung up on a comment KC made — and Bryce apparently misinterpreted — weeks ago. But at this point, the $100K is well within reach.
