Best Bet for Germany vs. Paraguay

  • Germany Win and Over 2.5: Germany’s 10 goals in the group stage were the joint most of any country in the competition alongside France and the Netherlands. They should have no problem scoring a few goals against a Paraguay team that conceded four times to the United States in the opening round of matches.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup continues on Monday as Germany faces Paraguay in the Round of 32. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Germany are -900 favorites to advance to the Round of 16, while Paraguay are listed at +550 to advance.

Let’s dive into my favorite bet for this match.

Germany vs. Paraguay Prediction, Pick

Germany are currently ranked 12th in the FIFA rankings, while Paraguay sits at 37th in the world.

This bet can be found under the “Match Parlays” tab. Germany won two of their three games in the group stage. They beat Curaçao 7-1 in the opener, and followed that up with a 2-1 victory over the Ivory Coast. With top spot in the group secured, they took their foot off the gas in the final game against Ecuador and lost 2-1. At least three goals have been scored in all three of their matches, and if they actually needed a result against Ecuador in the last game I think the result might’ve been different.

For Paraguay, things got off to an awful start in the opening match, losing 4-1 to the United States. Then, they stabilized against weaker opposition, beating Turkey 1-0 and drawing with Australia 0-0. I think against the better teams, Paraguay could be in trouble. Even though they beat Turkey, they conceded 33 shots and somehow did not concede. The game against Australia was much more tame, but a lot of that can be attributed to both teams being happy with a point as it secured both nations a spot in the Round of 32.

Germany will be all guns blazing for this one, and should be able to find the back of the net a few times against an inferior Paraguay squad.
