BREAK IT DOWN:
(Stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Byron Buxton 1+ Home Run (+258): Buxton had three hits, including a double, in the series opener for the Twins against the Rockies on Friday night, but he didn’t go yard. He still has 25 homers in his 70 games this season, including eight homers in his last 18 contests. He has an impressive 22.8% barrel rate with a 56.1% hard-hit rate over those 18 games. Most of his homers have been at Target Field (14 of 25) and 21 of them have come against right-handed pitchers like Michael Lorenzen. Lorenzen has struggled, giving up 13 homers in 17 games this year, and Buxton is 2-for-10 with a homer against Lorenzen in the past. On Saturday night, the weather forecast is not quite homer-friendly in Minneapolis, but the matchup is good enough for the public to get behind the Buck Truck again on Saturday night.
Kyle Schwarber 1+ Home Run (+210): The public is also in on Kyle Schwarber, who has an MLB-leading 29 homers in his 77 games this season. He didn’t homer in the first game of this series against the Mets on Friday, but the weather looks very homer-friendly at Citi Field on Saturday afternoon. He’ll face Mets righty Christian Scott, who is coming off the injured list for this outing. In his nine starts, he has four homers allowed, with lefties hitting three of those four dingers. Schwarber is 18-for-50 (.360) with six homers in his last 14 games with a 61.3% hard-hit rate and 16.1% barrel rate over that stretch. He will be the first player this season to reach 30 homers if he delivers on this home run prop on Saturday afternoon.
Shohei Ohtani 1+ Home Run (+188): In one of the later games this evening, the Dodgers visit the Padres at Petco Park. Ohtani has shorter odds under +200, but the public is backing him against Randy Vasquez and the Friars. Vasquez has allowed seven homers in his last six games, with 22 runs allowed in 27 1/3 innings. He gave up a home run and three runs in 4 1/3 innings against the Dodgers earlier this season, and Ohtani is 1-for-7 with a home run against Vasquez in their past meetings. Ohtani hasn’t gone yard in his last three games, but he does have six homers in his last 13 contests with a 64.5% hard-hit rate and 29.0% barrel rate over that stretch. Even though he hasn’t hit one out since last Monday, he has been hitting the ball hard, with five games of multiple hard-hit balls in his last seven contests. He always has the potential to go yard, and with Vasquez struggling, the public likes his chances to get back in the homer column on Saturday.
3-Pick Same Game Parlay
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a same game parlay (SGP) and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
