Mookie Betts is showing that he still has plenty left in the tank. The former MVP and four-time world champ has gone yard in three straight games, hitting .358 with a 1.102 OPS and five homers since June 13.
Betts, 33, looks primed to stay hot in Sunday’s series finale with the Padres when considering the pitching matchup. San Diego’s Michael King holds an impressive 3.33 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP through 16 starts (92 IP) this season. However, his underlying metrics — 4.67 xERA, .254 xBA, and 9.4% barrel rate — indicate some serious batted-ball windfall.
Either way, he’s never had an answer for Betts, who has gone 5-for-16 (.313) with three home runs in their previous meetings.

The 27-year-old has been solid in limited action against lefties this season, posting a .780 OPS in 28 plate appearances. He enters Sunday with a prime opportunity to bolster those numbers, getting to take some hacks at Fenway Park’s Green Monster off erratic southpaw Carlos Rodon, who has allowed three earned runs in three-straight starts. Narvaez is 3-for-9 with a home run, a double, and three RBIs in their past meetings.
Kumar Rocker Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-165)
Strikeouts are hard to come by when you’re pitching in Toronto. The Blue Jays may not carry the same pennant-winning punch they did last season, but their refusal to swing and miss hasn’t changed. Their 19.7% strikeout rate this season is the third-lowest in MLB.
As such, Texas’ Kumar Rocker will face a tough challenge in Sunday’s series finale. The Rangers right-hander has gotten tagged for a 4.14 ERA and an even worse 4.67 xERA across 15 outings (74 IP) in 2026. Rocker, 26, has fallen below 4.5 strikeouts in eight appearances and ranks in MLB’s 34th percentile with a 20.2% K-rate.
