Love Island UK is rolling along with another great season. There has been a major shakeup among some of the prominent couples on the show, creating some major drama.
Love Island UK Episode 18 Recap 6/19/26
Last night’s episode of Love Island UK saw Yasmin and Lorenzo finally kiss. The two islanders have been flirting heavily for a few days, but Yasmin was reluctant to kiss him because of her relationship with Aidan. However, she finally succumbed to her feelings, and it seemed to go great for both of them. Unfortunately, the other islanders were not as fond of it. Aidan was quite upset about how things went down, and immediately put his grafting boots on to go talk to all of the other girls in the villa. He is, for now, saying that he can’t go back to Yasmin. We will see if he sticks to that, but for now, he is getting to know Namibia, Priya and his old flame Ellie.
Despite Aidan cutting things off with Yasmin, Priya is not cutting things off with Lorenzo. She is still open to getting to know him, and he her. That was confirmed by the fact that Priya and Lorenzo had a kiss in bed that night. Yasmin was not happy to hear the news, and Lola told Priya off for nonchalantly telling the girls about it in the morning.
Love Island UK Recoupling
It was a normal day at the villa when a text arrived telling the islanders to gather around the firepit. There was to be a recoupling, where the girls would get to pick who they wanted to couple up with. The most intriguing part of the recoupling was who would get first choice of Lorenzo, Priya, or Yasmin? The recoupling started on an easy note, with Lola picking Sean and Jasmine picking Kavan. Up next, Yasmin was given a chance to finally get together with Lorenzo.
Angelista unsurprisingly picked Simba with the next pick in the draft. Priya was up next, and since Lorenzo had already been taken, she coupled up with Samraj. Despite Ellie and Tommy having some issues and Aidan becoming available, Ellie decided to stick with Tommy in the recoupling. Namibia is the one who got to couple up with the now single Aidan after the two of them had a nice chat the night before. The final boy left was Sam, whom Mica picked as the only true friendship couple of the group.
The Aftermath
Everybody seemed quite peachy following the recoupling. Everybody except Mica got to pick somebody that they were romantically interested in. While Priya might have wanted to choose Lorenzo, it made sense for Yasmin and Lorenzo to finally couple up, and Priya had several other options. However, Samraj was conflicted about coupling up with Priya. He seems to think she has an inflated ego, something that he has not told her in any of their chats.
If there was any chance of Aidan and Yasmin salvaging things, it was put to bed that night. Yasmin was upset that Aidan had called her “Ellie” for the second time the night before. She mentioned that he might have been doing it intentionally, which Aidan was massively offended by. Aidan ended up storming away from the conversation, marking the official end of those two.
While the guys were getting ready for the night, Simba told the guys that he may have picked Mica if it were the guys’ choice in the recoupling. Simba decided to let Mica know that information when they chatted that night. Additionally, Kavan told a couple of the girls what Simba had said. When that information gets back to Angelista, which it inevitably will, it could spell bad news for that couple. Simba and Mica didn’t kiss, but Simba decided to be a little too honest with Angelista and let her know that he hopes to kiss Mica in the future. Naturally, she was quite upset about that. It will be interesting to see how that situation develops moving forward.
The end of the episode teased a massive twist, with four islanders set to head out and meet four new bombshells for an overnight date.
