Jason Day has withdrawn from the U.S. Open with a back injury midway through his first round.
Day had a rough morning, notching a bogey on the first hole of the day then racking up six straight bogeys to close out the front nine. After a par on the first hole of the back nine, Day decided that he was not able to continue.
Since Day withdrew prior to the start of Round 2, he is eligible for DraftKings Early Exit.
