The Twins and Rangers play the first game of their three-game series on Monday, June 15.

Texas is a -163 moneyline favorite, while Minnesota is +135 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at over/under eight runs.

Let’s get into a pick and prediction for this Twins vs. Rangers game.

Twins vs. Rangers prediction, preview

The AL West is up for grabs more than any other division in MLB this season. The Mariners entered the year as the favorites and are division leaders, but they’re just 37-36 with a one-game lead over the Athletics and Rangers. The Astros are four games back, and the Angels are 7.5 back. If the division remains this close deeper into the season, these mid-June matchups will become even more important.

The Twins are 33-40, trailing the Guardians and White Sox by 6.5 games. They’re obviously further back than the Rangers, but the AL Central is—and has recently been—a mess. There hasn’t been much consistency within the division over the past few seasons, and that’s once again true in 2026. Minnesota ranks in the top 10 in total runs thanks to an MVP-caliber season from Byron Buxton, but will the oft-injured star remain healthy all season?

Mike Paredes is making his fourth appearance in the majors and second start. He’s pitched between 3.0-3.2 innings in all three outings thus far, so expect a similar output in this game. While he hasn’t been terrible, the concern is that the Minnesota bullpen has the worst collective ERA in the majors. There’ll be a heavy dose of Twins relievers in this matchup.

MacKenzie Gore is starting for the Rangers. He had high expectations when joining the roster, but he’s remained the same pitcher he’s been over the past couple seasons. The breakout is coming … eventually! His 4.18 ERA isn’t the most impressive, but he’s still a great strikeout pitcher, racking up 76 in 71 innings.

Twins vs. Rangers Pick, Best Bet

Texas is one game back from leading the AL West. It’s too early to crown a division champ, but it’s always a confidence boost seeing your team on top. The Twins are further from that feeling, and they’ve been much worse on the road vs. at home this season. That, plus the bullpen disparity, will be the difference in this game.

Best Bet: Texas Rangers -1.5 (+130)
