Koepka has withdrawn from the RBC Canadian Open with a hand injury ahead of his final round tee time Sunday at TPC Toronto.
Koepka was dealing with the hand injury during the third round on Saturday and it clearly affected his play, as he posted a 2-over 72, after shooting 64 and 68 in the first two rounds. Following the third round, Koepka told the media he was “struggling to grip the club”.
This is obviously concerning and not only is Koepka withdrawing from the RBC Canadian Open a disappointment, this is extremely poor timing for him, as the U.S. Open is this coming week and the major will be played at Shinnecock Hills, where Koepka won in 2018. Hopefully the five-time major champion will be ready to go for the U.S. Open on Thursday, but the hand injury obviously could continue to be a problem.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Koepka carries +2800 odds to win the U.S. Open, which are the 10th-best odds on the board.
