The long, long wait is over. For the first time since 1973, the New York Knicks are NBA champions, winning Game 5 on the road against the San Antonio Spurs. Jalen Brunson, always the leader and playoff performer, delivered in the biggest game of his life. New York’s star point guard racked up 45 points, including 26 in the second half, to will his team to yet another comeback win. To the surprise of nobody, he was crowned the 2026 NBA Finals MVP.

It’s safe to say Brunson won’t have to pay for a meal or a drink in New York ever again. What a night for New York, Jalen Brunson, and the Knicks. Go crazy, New York!!!
