The New York Knicks have won their first NBA championship since 1973, defeating the San Antonio Spurs, 94–90, in Saturday night’s Game 5 at Frost Bank Center. 

Jalen Brunson put on the cape, erupting for 45 points to spark a double-digit comeback and put New York back on top of the basketball world for the first time in 53 years. 

With the party getting started in the five boroughs, it’s a fitting time to look ahead and see who the frontrunners are for next season’s title on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Even after coming up short this season, the Victor Wembanyama-led Spurs share the top odds with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder as the frontrunners to win the 2026-27 NBA Finals, holding +250 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. 

The Boston Celtics are right behind at +550, while the newly crowned champion Knicks hold +700 odds of going back-to-back. 

And with Tyrese Haliburton coming back next season, the Indiana Pacers are tied with the Denver Nuggets for the fifth-best odds at +2800.
