Love Island USA punctuated its first week of Season Eight in familiar fashion, leaving the fate of its islanders in the hands of voting viewers at home. With all the buzz surrounding where the drama heads next, let’s dive into my predictions for the show heading into Week 2.
Love Island USA Week 2 Predictions
History Repeats Itself
Last year’s Season Seven, in case you’d forgotten, delivered a moment that belongs on Love Island USA’s Mount Rushmore. The villa was rocked to its core after the public voted for incoming bombshell Iris to couple up with Jeremiah — shattering an already toxic pairing between him and polarizing breakout star Huda.
While the results of Tuesday’s vote have yet to be revealed, all signs point to another dramatic recoupling this week between Sincere and new arrival Sol. That dynamite pairing, who spent much of Tuesday’s episode locking lips, would in turn dismantle what’s left of Sincere’s volatile pairing with the divisive Melanie.
Time will tell how one of this season’s most unpredictable contestants responds in the aftermath.
Season Eight’s First Crash-Out
Love Island crash-outs are always required viewing, but this season’s first might be even sweeter for being fully justified. Beatriz has spent a significant amount of time in the villa, baring her soul to Gabriel, who recently got up close and personal with new bombshells Sol and Jen.
Making matters worse, some of the other islanders have already caught him in the act.
Bea has been preaching open communication throughout this whole process — and she’s never been afraid to call out her fellow islanders. Just you wait until she finally uncovers what her beau has been up to behind her back.
Corbin Gets the Boot
Monday’s slumber party didn’t go well for Corbin. Just as things were settling with Kenzie, a wrench was thrown into their connection in the form of a Southern bombshell named Caleb — exactly the type of guy she’d been openly hoping for.
It didn’t take long for the sparks to fly between Kenzie and her “cowboy,” with the pair playing tonsil tag in Soul Ties. Corbin, meanwhile, has yet to develop any additional connections inside the villa — nor has he flashed much personality to sway other islanders away from theirs.
If something doesn’t change quickly, Corbin could be packing his bags after this week’s recoupling.
