Best anytime goal scorer picks for Stanley Cup Final Game 5

Brett Howden Anytime Goalscorer (+240)

Sign me up if the postseason’s leading goalscorer holds +240 odds to score a goal against a goaltender making his second career postseason start after allowing three goals on just 21 shots in Game 4. Howden has scored four goals already this series, and he has ranked inside the top-five on Vegas in 5v5 xGoals% in three of four games thus far. Brandon Bussi is a great talent, but he looked shaky toward the end of the regular season, and this Vegas team is exactly the type to look to take advantage of his lack of playoff experience. Howden has netted at least one goal in all but two postseason games on the road, too.

Taylor Hall Anytime Goalscorer (+285)

Hall has scored just one goal this series, but he has ranked second on Carolina in 5v5 xGoals% in three of four games. The Hall-Stankoven-Blake line has been incredible for the Hurricanes this postseason, netting a postseason-high 15 goals as a unit. Both Logan Stankoven and Jackson Blake scored in Game 4, and Hall’s high-quality chances cannot be contained for much longer. Hall scored 18 goals during the regular season, with 12 of them coming at the Lenovo Center, where tonight’s tilt will be held. Carter Hart has come back down to Earth this series, posting a 4.00 GAA and .861 SV% across the first four games.
